"THERE'S LIFE!" If you do not believe it, you have to see it: Heiterwang is one of the most relaxing holiday resorts in the Tiroler Zugspitzarena. The sporty ski, mountain bike and hiking-pension in the small Tyrolean village of Heiterwang - amidst the breathtaking mountain landscape of the Tyrolean Zugspitzarena - offers its guests sporty-cozy comfort and family atmosphere. Whether you are looking for a holiday with your family, an active holiday or simply a few days of relaxation, you are in the right place. In winter, there are slopes and cross-country ski runs. Snow-safe and with short distances too large slopes close to one of the most beautiful mountain massifs in the Western Alps. In the summer, signposted hiking trails invite you for excursions. Or you can enjoy the weather on the Lied at Heiterwanger Lake, which always invites you to a cool bath. Aparthotel Heiterwangerhof is just 1 km from Lake Heiterwang and 3 km from the closest ski area. It free WiFi in all apartments and public areas. The spacious apartments feature a balcony with mountain views, cable TV, a kitchenette, a seating area, and a modern bathroom with a bath or shower. Breakfast (buffet) is offered for only 8,- € per person (children up to 6 years 6,- €). Guests can use a ski storage room, and free private parking is available on site. Cross-country ski runs are right outside. The free ski bus stops 20 metres away, and Heiterwang Train Station is 800 metres away. Neuschwanstein Castle is 15 km away. The Zugspitzarena Card is included in the rate with a minimum stay of 2 nights. This card comprises many free benefits and reductions in the region.

Reviewed By d0ndequieraHeiterwangerhof was a lucky find for us as we really had no idea where to choose. We loved the gasthof, the very friendly staff and the location. We stayed a few nights so that we could hike around Heiterwangersee and explore the mountains nearby. Location is super convenient for exploring the region. Plus the restaurant here is great (and probably the best in town based on how many people came to eat here who weren't guests of the hotel). Now we're thinking of visiting in winter. Review of the restaurant coming separately.

Moreover the hosts of the hotel are extremely kind, it was an amazing experience to stay here and i would definitely come here again. The breakfast was something to not miss because everything was splendid.

Reviewed By RP-NetherlandsWhat you see is what you get, and there's nothing wrong with it! The name is a bit old fashioned, and so is the building, outside and inside. However, it is clean, everything works and the owner/staff are very friendly and accomodating. We booked a room with breakfast for 1 night. Upon arrival we went for a walk in the area and looked for a restaurant, but the only one that had any potential was closed. So we had dinner at Gasthof Post. The menu offers simple dishes, but the food was good: fresh and tasty. The room was large enough, the bed was comfy and the shower worked well, and it was quiet. Breakfast was excellent. A bonus is that the surroundings are pretty: there is a beautiful mountain lake which takes a 15 minute walk, and another lake a bit further away. The water was crystal clear and good for swimming (not cold). We didn't have the time for a swim as it was getting dark. Altogether a great stop on our way to Italy. I would like to go back there.
