The location is perfect - as close to the ocean as you can get (the deck is literally built on stilts above the water), and just a short walk to town. The hospitality was by far the highlight - Brent and Jenny provided outstanding catered meals for our group, from appetizers including smoked oysters on the deck, to a 3-course dinner with homemade cakes for dessert. Breakfast was continental but had all that you could want - loads of fresh baked goods, deviled eggs, fresh jams, and more. They took great care with our dietary restrictions too, and even bought special yogurt for me that was dairy free. We felt well taken care of at all times. The rooms were very comfortable, some with private decks and all with views of the ocean. The big deck was a favourite - multiple gathering places to unwind and watch the sunset. I can't recommend this place more!

Reviewed By worldwidelensWe had a wonderful stay at the Seine Boat Inn, the room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was really comfy and it felt like a cozy home away from home. We had a fantastic stay and will absolutely be back. Terry-Lyn was always very helpful and accommodating in a warm and friendly way. We met Colin, the owner, and he was a wonderfully colourful character too, with many stories to tell about Alert Bay. The village is a great place to visit, so much to see and do, but also a great place to just relax and take a breather. The Seine Boat Inn was the perfect spot to do that! We will be back for sure!

Once a church, our log lodge is perched on a knoll on the south shore overlooking the Johnstone Strait. The beach is just steps away. Constructed entirely of cedar, the Great Room (the former worship room) of this magnificent building features vaulted 14” cedar ceilings, four conversation nooks and a dining room with ocean and mountain views. Indigenous art hangs on our walls, and books of many variations grace our library. Outside is a wrap around sundeck. The lodge is the perfect place to take in the ocean, inhale the cedar aroma and loose yourself in the serene vibe of this place. We offer wildlife trip bookings, a choice of four included hot breakfasts, and a dinner service. Wifi and parking are included.

Reviewed By Macman1978This is a charming lodge with a lovely view from the great room across the Johnstone Straight to Vancouver Island. Our room was spotless, with its own bathroom and fridge. Scott and Nina were charming hosts, and very helpful with travel, tour and eating tips. The breakfasts were wonderful and made to order. We enjoyed sitting on the wraparound deck outside and in the great room with the fire going for coffee and drinks. The lodge is close to main town. We were able to keep busy for almost a week seeing Cormorant Island and the surrounding area. We were there in September, which is just when things were starting to quiet down. The people on the island are friendly, and there are a number of amenities. We brought a stash of food for lunches and snacking at Nina's recommendation. We recommend the lodge for a nice getaway in a very interesting corner of the west coast!

Reviewed By Manuela vDas Orca Inn ist eine skurille Unterkunft. Im gleichen Haus gibt es eine Sushi Restaurant und ein Pub. Das Sushi wird ins Pub gebracht. Zu dem Zeitpunkt als wir dort waren, gab es Live Musik.! Das war toll. Die Zimmer sind spärlich eingerichtet (für 1 Nacht ok) Die Wände sind sehr dünn, wir konnten den Nachbar schnarchen hören.
