Over 200 important paintings and drawings by more than twenty world famous 19th and 20th century masters (Cezanne, Monet, Matisse, Picasso, Klee, Miro and many others) are on display in a neo-classical building specially remodelled for this purpose. This collection was unexpectedly excellent. They have a 35 minute video which is worth watching to learn how the family put together their collection, describing their friendship with many famous artists like Picasso. A gem for art lovers.

Das Kunsthaus Sursee VIER wird in der reformierten Kirche Sursee stattfinden. Sie wurde für die Ausstellung Kunsthaus Sursee VIER neu renoviert. Alle Thomkins-Fenster wurden aufgefrischt und die ganze Kirche erscheint im neuen Glanz. Unsere Idee ist es mit 40 Kunstschaffenden in diese hervorragende Kirche einzugreifen. Betritt man die Kirche, wird die Ausstellung Kunsthaus Sursee VIER im ersten Blick nicht sichtbar sein. Kniet man sich zwischen den Bänken nieder, und wechselt so die Perspektive, erblickt man unter den Kirchenbänken die total 120 Kunstwerke von den 40 Kunstschaffenden. Unter jedem Kirchenbank werden je drei A4 Formate angebracht. Im Vorraum der Kirche wird ein an der Architektur perfekt angepasstes Holz-Gestell stehen, bei dem man sich ein Kissen nehmen kann. Mit dem Kissen schreitet man zu einer Bank, legt es auf den Boden und kniet sich hin, damit man unter der Bank die Werke betrachten kann.
