Phare du Borgot

Borgot lighthouse is a beautiful sunset spot and one of the most popular on the islands. It sits at the edge of a cape, hovering over red-sandstone cliffs and overlooking the Gulf of St-Lawrence. The occasional seal can be spotted swimming to a nearby beach to rest after eating and it's great for bird-watching. Right beside the Borgot lighthouse is a cute little beach that almost seems hidden, but it's right to the left of the parking of the lighthouse. Obviously, it's free as there's no kiosk to enter the grounds of the lighthouse and no bathrooms. You pretty much just park and enjoy the view!

A l'abri de la Tempete Microbrewery

A l'abri de la Tempete believes in maximum use of local raw materials in the creation of its beers. We started by using locally malted barley, then moved on to harvesting and using fresh flowers, marine algae and herbs. We use locally-grown ingredients to brew our full-flavoured, distinctive beers. Guided tours, boutique and beer pub on place.

We sat outside in a wide area that is COVID adjusted for distance. Plenty of space here and we could have gone further on the beach also - loved the outside terrace with ocean view. We did not sit inside although there is a nice area on the second floor; we sampled the Double Daffy (favorite), St-Crème, Cale Sèche, Vieux Couvent and Terre Ferme and really nothing disappointing here, all equally well done and with character, easily one of Quebec’s best microbrewery. Two beers was about $14 taxes included. There is a boutique counter inside where you can buy beer for take away at about half the price of sitting down in the outside area. Highly recommended stop on Les Iles. Five stars for whoever came up with the name “Double Daffy” ⛷

Phare du Cap-Alright

Reviewed By yulneverroamalone - Montreal, Canada

This beautiful vista is an epic sunrise location! Located in Ile du Havre aux Maisons, the sun rises directly adjacent to the lighthouse and illuminates the skies with pinkish and orange tones. There's a beach below the lighthouse which is easily accessible by a set of stairs. The whole area is free to access and both the beach and lighthouse have respective parking areas. They're both free of charge but the view is definitely worth the visit! There's a wooden fence at the parking area of the lighthouse and it's not recommended to trespass as you're stepping onto private property - everybody does it, but, you've now been warned! A MUST visit! Highly suggest going for sunrise, you'll most probably be alone to soak it all up!
