Rochford Square

Reviewed By BlueridgeCharlie - Dugspur, United States

Charlottetown is a beautiful walkable city. While enjoying a walk through the historic neighborhoods came upon Rochford Square. The park was colorful with many, many blooms of all colors. The plantings are scattered about and seats plentiful. Well designed and maintained. Lots of pedestrian traffic enjoying the blooms. No facilities, entry fees or visitor center. Just a fine urban park.

Confederation Landing Park

Took a walk around here while in the downtown Charlottetown area. It's a very nice park, even in November. There's plenty of plaques posted around with information about Charlottetown and it's links to Canada's Confederation. There's also great views of the harbour. Definitely a place to see.

Victoria Park

Located right by the river, the Victoria Park caters to people of all ages, with a bandshell, benches overlooking the bay and best of all, childrens activities including a free pool and the most amazing musical park, which I believe was sponsored by Candian Tire. Giant instruments, slides, jumpers, and four different play areas, keep children amused for hours. The boardwalk is great for strolling and one can refresh the soul just by sitting and watching the sun go down. I didn't see any concession stands, so take a picnic, plenty of fluids and enjoy a whole day at this beautiful park.
