Reviewed By nohcqIf you looking for paradise, here it's! Elvys and his wife cook for you great meals. The bungalows and accommodation are just all you need. The island is beautiful : quiet, white sand, coconut trees and "turquoise" sea. You have great chance to be alone on the beach. We planned to stay 4 days and finally we stay 1 week. This place was so perfect that I asked to my girlfriend to become my wife. Elvys prepare a romantic dinner only for us. Amazing time! Reviewed By KavholsbI really loved my stay at MB Palambak Island Resort. I was travelling in the Banyak Islands for 2,5 weeks and have spend in total 10 days in Palambak Island Resort. I made different stops at other islands also, but came back here because I loved it so much: the property is really wel maintenanced, the cabin is lovely, I love the quintness there, and Mr. Jul and Mr. Rusman did a lovely job hosting me. And very important: the food of Mr Jul is very nice! I had a great time and highly recommand it!

Reviewed By Robin1952This has the potential to be amazing, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but like someone else commented we weren't so sure when we arrived. We had booked a standard bungalow for our first night because the delux one wasn't available on booking.com. At 600,000 Rp the standard bungalow was expensive by Indonesian standards, so we were shocked when we arrived to see there was barely enough room for the double mattress in it. The shared bathroom was what you would expect in a hostel where you were paying 150000 per night. Thankfully there was a delux bungalow available so we were able to go into it straight away. Like another reviewer commented, the sheets had blood spots on them, presumably from mosquito bites. We gave them the benefit of the doubt that they were stains rather than dirty so didn't complain. There were no chairs outside on the lovely deck, but when we asked Willi found us two plastic ones. The outdoor bathroom would have been perfect if the mirror had been clean and the old soaps not thrown on the sand. At $1,000,000 per night you would expect a higher standard of cleanliness. Another disappointment was that the description on the booking site said garden, bar and restaurant. There is really no garden, just scrubby land between the two sets of bungalows. Sand flies and mosquitoes are a pest. Having said that, the food was delicious, lots of fish and vegetables, and very reasonably priced. The island is gorgeous, the snorkelling good right off the beach. If Willi works at the small things he is on to a winner.

The Palambak Dream is a cozy family run little beach resort. All our bungalows have a private bathroom. The restaurant is also a great community area to relax or play games. All this situated on a tropical white beach with the crystal clear ocean right at your doorstep.

Reviewed By RimabielI made a huge mistake when booking ‘Palambak Dream’, as I trusted the owner. As she was foreign, this influenced my decision. I was mostly interested in whether there was good snorkelling directly from the beach . She told me that the snorkelling is wonderful.I then told her that this vacation spot will be suitable for me, since my main aim is snorkelling. She did pressure me to tell her how many days I will stay. I told her 4 days, because I believed her that the snorkelling will be good. The bungalows are on the beach, indeed new and clean, a private toilet (local still) and a shower. This is the only positive thing I can say about this stay. We were exhausted from sitting in the heat for so long at Singkil pier, so we just put our masks on and went directly into the sea. What a nightmare!!! The water was very hot- we measured it at 34 degrees Celsius. The water is very shallow for a long distance from the beach . If there are any corals at all, then they have been blown up and were dead. So, there was no snorkelling here at all. Also, it’s not comfortable to be in that hot water for very long. It’s also very hot on the shore as ‘Pelambak Dream’ is in a bay, so there is no wind. I am afraid to even remember the night’s sleep. It was a complete nightmare. Extremely hot, sweat dripping down my body, the pillows smelled awful (especially once they get damp from sweat). The bungalows do not have even any fan. The next day, when we asked for a boat to go snorkelling around the island, they gave us an insane price, but we had no other choice. We had to agree as it was the only option. Whilst on the boat, we found an amazing homestay on the other side of Palambak island. We asked them to come and pick us up from ‘Palambak Dream’ the next morning. When I told Ingrid in the evening that we cannot stay in her place any longer, as we did not find any snorkelling and due to the insane heat at night, the noise (due to building works going on from morning until evening)- she told us that we will have to pay 50% for the two remaining nights. When I told her that I did not expect that she could trick me this way with the snorkelling, she told me to change my opinion and enjoy what I have. When I told her that we cannot pay her money due to the unacceptable conditions, she invited her husband. He attacked us like furious an animal. He shouted at us loudly and uncontrollably. We were all in shock, since we have never in our lives seen an owner of a business acting this way with their customers. He verbally attacked us in a very offensive manner for a long time. There was a moment that I truly believed he will hit me. We did not know to what extent this person had self-control, and what we can expect from him. We felt our lives threatened in this situation. Therefore, we agreed to all their conditions, just so that we can escape safely. We spent the night without sleep. After Ingrida’s husband’s aggressive attack, I feel as I can say that I have seen a tiger of Sumatra that was life-threatening. I would never recommend ,Palambak Dream" to anyone.

We are on an uninhabited island.You can have a wonderful beach for yourself and enjoy snorkeling in beautiful clear water with not crowded by people.Our 4 bungalows are with double bed,mosquito net and a terace with table, chairs and hammock.Directly from the terraces you can enjoy the beautiful sunset view .Free Wi-fi..

Reviewed By C2235NFevabIch und mein Mann haben 3 Tage bei Ira und Vikki verbracht und können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen. Die Bungalows sind sauber, die Matratze die beste die wir bisher auf den Banyak Inseln hatten, das Bad trotz Einfachheit sehr sauber gehalten (auch sonst überall sehr sauber) und die Gastgeber unglaublich nett und hilfreich - ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Es gibt drei leckere Mahlzeiten am Tag, Kopi, Tee und Wasser jederzeit verfügbar. Eine Trauminsel die man in dieser Form nicht mehr oft auf der Welt findet. Wir danken uns auch auf diesem Wege für die schöne Tage bei Euch Ira und Vikki!! Last but not least: Sergey S ist ein Troll. Der gute Herr ist bereits bekannt auf den Banyak Inseln und hat überall seine negative Kommentare im Internet hinterlassen - zu allen Unterkünften auf den Banyaks. Es war ihm zu sandig, zu blaues Wasser, zu warm, zu viele Insel, zu wenige Menschen, zu kleiner Raum, zu lang warten müssen, zu viel Ebbe, zu viel Flut. Man könnte fast meinen dass Sergey S ein allgemein sehr unzufriedener Mensch ist. Sogar hier im Paradise...
