Taking the ferry is fun and easy. I enjoyed being on the water and seeing the city from the ferry. I enjoyed visiting the shop with artwork made by locals and also watching the children enjoy playing in the water fountains in the playground.

The Old Quebec Funicular is mana from heaven if you want to return to the upper art of the city after sightseeing around the historic streets and sights and the waterfront. Coming down the steps at the beginning of the day's travel is fun and you get to see stuff as you descend the 195 ft. By the afternoon,the thought of going back up the steps is a bit daunting; step forward the funicular! The fare is negligible when weighed against the risk of heart failure. It was cash only, or it was in August 2019, so check your wallet for readies. Once on board it's only a short trip but rather exciting looking down at the drop as it expands below you. We used it more than once as it enabled to explore more of the city without being left too fatigued.
