Tramore (/trəˈmoʊr/; Irish: Trá Mhór, meaning "big strand/beach") is a seaside town in County Waterford on the southeast coast of Ireland. A small fishing village until the arrival of the railway in 1853, the town has continually expanded since. Initially the town flourished as a tourist destination and latterly it has developed as a seaside satellite town of Waterford City, which is 13 km to the north. Waterford Airport is located about 6 km northeast.

We really enjoyed our time at Tramore Beach, even though it was a blustery September day. There were amusements, a mini-putt, as well as water equipment rentals (all closed). There were also some shops, hotels and restaurants along the Promenade, but nothing that obstructed the beautiful views. Although it was a little too cool to enjoy the water ourselves, we watched quite a few surfers catching some waves. There seems to be a fair bit of parking along the Promenade and the area looked well-kept both along the walkway as well as on the beach.

Tramore park is an unusual park as its a miss match of rides which unlike a main theme park seem to run independent of each other. There is lots to do and you will happily spend 2-3 hrs here as well as spend the few euros. Why the park hasn't come out of the dark ages and like main theme parks have one access with one payment is wee bit beyond me,never the less very enjoyable.
Rides are fun but sad to say they are missing a big attraction a big roller coaster etc that would make the park stand out.
Either way make the best of what is available but if your kids are in there teen years the park may struggle to hold there attention.
Parking is governed by the local council so pay and display applies, toilets could be a lot better and the park itself could do with a revamp and a major overhaul to update it.

As the secretary for the Three Shippes Golf Society in Waterford it was my task to organise the golf outings for the year, from the very start dealing with Geraldine until we finished our golf it was an excellent, professional and friendly experience. Geraldine welcomed us on the day and was there when we were finished too for our presentation of prizes. The course was in excellent condition, and everyone of the 30 golfers that played on the day had an enjoyable day, would highly recommend Tramore Golf Club to any golf society or group regardless of the size.

I booked this for my 2 nephews (14 &15) they had a great instructor who really gave them all him attention and encouragement. They had 2 hours and 1 1/2 hours in the water. The wave are small in Tramore but ideal for someone with little experience well worth the price.

Took my niece & nephew here on a Friday afternoon - not too busy which was great.
They really loved all the animals especially the smaller/younger ones but we were expecting a little bit more variety. Appears to be an awful lot of goats and sheep but still plenty to keep the little ones occupied in fairness.
When you've followed the trail around to see all the animals,there's a small course to ride a go-kart around beside a very small area where you can pay €2 for your child to have a pony ride round the perimeter.
There's a building full of sand with plenty of sand diggers,tractors and buckets to keep the children occupied should the rain threaten.
The playground is also very good; swings, a slide, balancing boards, rocking horses and a play house.
All in all a well-laid out mini farm with nice added extras and any child will be entertained by it.
However, big drawback was the price: €25 for two children and two adults was far too much for what you get. Absolute max worth in my opinion and with ecperience of many other mini/pet farms is €20 for the 4.

Ideally located with easy access to beach; friendly reception; good equipment; only need to bring swimsuit and towel as the rest is supplied; instruction was excellent although one of our party monopolised him a bit :-( So not his fault at all. He was very encouraging and positive.
Great fun was had by all 17 of us - we ranged in ages from 7 to 47! I would return and probably will with my kids for more practice as us older ones need it!!!!

Tramore racecourse is where 'the turf meets the surf' and it is one of the most intimate stages for racing in Ireland. The 4-day mid-August festival (incorporating 3 evening meetings) has everything a summer racing festival should have: sun (usually), sea, sand, spectacular racing and anything else that takes your fancy on a hot summers day. It offers a great opportunity to take a racing holiday because of the great amenities on your doorstep in Tramore, one of the premier seaside resorts in Ireland.

if you are used to American horse racing, you are in for a treat!!! There is nothing like Irish horse racing for fun. The track itself is incredibly easy to get to (and an easy walk from the Beach Haven House B&B where we stayed), and if you like horse racing, I promise you that you'll enjoy this activity.
