January 4, 2018 Sheron Bogner

Tramore (/trəˈmoʊr/; Irish: Trá Mhór, meaning "big strand/beach") is a seaside town in County Waterford on the southeast coast of Ireland. A small fishing village until the arrival of the railway in 1853, the town has continually expanded since. Initially the town flourished as a tourist destination and latterly it has developed as a seaside satellite town of Waterford City, which is 13 km to the north. Waterford Airport is located about 6 km northeast.

Went here today. Looked like a busy spot so I taught it must be good food. I taught it was a little over priced for a chip shop. Portion size was ok. But with 10 people behind the counter I would expect very good food. It was soaked in grease. Don't think I could go back again

My wife and I happened upon Raglan Road whilst walking through town, and we were glad that we did. What a fantastic atmospheric pub. Great staff, great atmosphere and good food. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we went back again the next night!
Very interesting place with lots of nooks and cranny's to sit in, real fires, Irish music being sang on one night. My wife doesn't really like pubs, but liked this one so much on the first night that she didn't take much persuading to go on the second!
We can't wait to revisit next time.

For our daughter's christening 5 years ago, we held a large family meal in the Banyan. This was catered for down to the very last detail, even balloons were sourced at the restaurants expense. Since then, we have returned for anniversaries, birthdays, events or just because. The Banyan has relocated to a new premises, closer to the passing trade on Strand Street Tramore. While we have yet to eat in, we ordered a Takeout this weekend just gone and the quality was superb, the phone manner was extremely pleasant and the same for the Delivery driver. I would travel a million miles for the Veg Massaman Curry. Hats off to Pat and his staff for a local treat.

With a bit of luck you can park right in front of the quaint building which houses both The Copper Hen and Mother McHugh’s Pub.
The restaurant has a nice feeling/atmosphere to it inside. The service was quick, attentive and friendly. The set menu affords sufficient choice at a reasonable price and the Wine List is very good.
My wife and I enjoyed the starter and main course (photos submitted to TripAdvisor) - certainly worth a 4 star (very good rating).

Me and my partner and our best friends (also a couple) went here last night and it was absolutely amazing. I had been told about this restaurant by loads of people so went to see what all the fuss was about and there's a good reason as to why so many people love it. The restaurant itself is really homey and snug. The staff are excellent and the food is even better. Fair enough it's not the quickest but you can't rush perfection. Which is what our meals were. Can't recommend this place any more. It's an authentic Italian where all the staff are also Italian. I have a strawberry allergy and in most restaurants the waiter/waitress always look at me funny but it was not even the tiniest issue. Once again absolutely amazing.

First time trying the Pine Rooms since it opened under new management. Had heard some good and bad reviews from people who were there, so 4 of us decided to book and try for ourselves. We try lots of varied restaurants in Ireland and abroad, so have a good knowledge of good and bad when reviewing how the experience was.
Maybe the restaurant was just not able to cope with the amount of people that was booked in last night and hopefully they will learn from this. To start with, I am all for giving young people employment and giving them experience in restaurant. But some basic training would be very helpful first. Bringing the wine to the table and pouring 4 glasses, without even getting a chance to taste it, is very basic training in any restaurant. We got past this and the wine was nice.
Starters were nice, especially the seafood chowder, but the prawn dish was extremely small and was the most expensive starter.
Main course was where it all went wrong. We ordered our main courses, which were to come with potatoes and veg. The main course arrived and we waited for the potatoes and veg and waited and waited. While putting one of the main courses down with jug of pepper sauce, the server knocked over the jug and it spilled on the table. She said she would be straight back to clean the table and replace the jug. She never came back. We asked 2 more servers if they could clean the mess and replace the sauce and eventually after 10 mins, someone did. We again asked for the potatoes and veg, and at this stage we had almost eaten the dinners. The servers came back twice and asked was everything ok and we explained the food was nice, but the experience was bad. It was only when we finished the dinner that we realised that the pepper sauce which took forever to clean up, had been dripping through the cracks on the table onto the suit pants of one of our party. Rather than make a fuss, we quietly explained to one of our servers what had happened and said we were not happy with the service from start to finish. We asked that the Manager be informed of our issues, but this obviously never happened, as the Manager was in the hallway as we were leaving and never approached us to apologise for our experience.
We wont be going back there anytime soon, as there are other restaurants in Tramore where we have found the service and professionalism to be much better than here.

The Victoria House

The Victoria HOUSE (or THE VIC as it is known locally) is the oldest and most popular pub in the town of Tramore. Whether you fancy a great pint and a friendly ear, fantastic live music showcasing the best of local talent, or a catch-up with friends over a bottle of wine, we guarantee you a great time.

We arrived in the Victoria on a very busy Saturday night. Unfortunately when we arrived we were informed that they were fully booked. We decided to have a drink anyway as the atmosphere was good. While we were having our drinks in the downstairs bar the (very helpful) barman appeared and said a table had now become available if we were still interested. We were shown to a nice table by the window by another very pleasant staff member. The service was fast and the food both interesting and enjoyable. Overall a great dining experience.

Great to discover such a nice restaurant in tiny Tramore village. Place doesn't look much from outside but inside it's a nice little restaurant. Food was excellent with a nice selection of house specials. 4 of us are there and all very happy with quality and flavour of food. They also offer home Delivery and take away business seems to be thriving. Will definitely go again when in Tramore.
Staff were excellent also, very friendly and helpful.
Good value for money and good quality of meats used which is a must for good Indian.

I regularly drop in here for a coffee as it is the best in Tramore but the coffee making is quite inconsistent. Some of the lads there make fantastic coffees but others tend to burn it - it's a little frustrating sometimes. The prices are very fair and they offer some casual tasty bites and probably the best hot chocolates in Waterford but please guys be more consistent with your milk-based coffees.
