Taicang is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Suzhou, Jiangsu province. The city located in the south of the Yangtze River estuary opposite Nantong, being bordered by Shanghai proper to the south, while the river also delineates much of its northeastern boundary along Chongming Island.

I went with an American friend and his Chinese wife to visit Shaxi Watertown on a pleasant Sunday afternoon. They have probably visited hundreds of historical and other sites in China - it's a passion for him.
Unlike most of the similar tourist areas in China - this one still has not caught on with the crowds - very empty streets on both sides of the river - very few shops open. The old architecture was very well preserved - although a bit crumbling on the river side. Very few shop open for the tourist trade Some very picturesque Bridges over the small river. Easy to find the town - but a little hard to find the street entrance - and it was a free one.

I ventured out to find allergy medicine and checked here first. In the bottom level (basement) they have a supermarket. In the supermarket there is a medicine store. I was able to use my phone translator to get the allergy medicine I needed. Even though we couldn't understand each other they were very nice and helpful. They also have numerous other stores and restaurants on the upper levels (McDonalds and Starbucks). There is also an IMAX theater but I didn't make it there. They offer some movies in English.

太倉では有名な庭園らしく、よく整備されてます。
散歩する人も多いです。
ただ、中に遊園地みたいなものを作っていて、景観ぶち壊しです。
観覧車やアヒルのボートやいろいろ乗り物など。
中国の田舎の庭は子供には（大人にも？）退屈なため、こんなものがある方がお子さんには親切かも。

The employeesecond are the most kindest and generous and most helpful people there they made me feel like I was at home,holly in the bar went out of her way to get me bananas when my leg was cramping, Kim and the ladies at the front desk were vary helpful and supportive, as well as the attendent was vary delightful and caring and supportive, I plan on bringing my family out here next year, and the lifeguards are vary good as well,I also love there indoor waterslides, awesome. I love you Ramada hotel green bay Wisconsin.

Beautiful place in chinese style, but you can spend there maximum 10 minutes. Nothing more to do, just go and see buildings and architecture and get out. The entrance is not expansive. If you go with the taxi make sure he waits for you or at least you can call some taxi to pick up you cause it is just at the out of the city and you can walk a lot till you can stop a taxi.
