Hamsilos Koyu

The road to the fjord has a beach (with dangerous currents) and a few little shady bays where you can while away some time, have a picnic or barbecue, or stay over and wild camp. There appear to be several walking trails too.
The fjord is the only one in Turkey and is pretty enough to make the short trip from Sinop.
Look out for cows on the beach and bulls wallowing in mud pools for added interest ☺
The road is good for cars, bikes and motorhomes.

Erfelek Tatlica Selaleleri Tabiat Parki

We visited these Waterfalls in the spring and it was late afternoon when we got there and as there were very few people by that time, we really enjoyed it. It was a refreshing, quite and peaceful place.
These Waterfalls were unknown until 1997 and were discovered during the construction of a dam. There are 28 Waterfalls in different sizes. There is a wooden walkin trail which eases the climbing effort but this trail ends at 9th of 10th waterfall. If you want to see the rest, you have to be equipped with trekking equipments. As our friends with whom we visited this place had 4 years old son, we ended our visit at the end of the trail but I can imagine the rest would be amazing to see as well.
There is a picnic area at the entrance with many cafés. There is also a little bit shabby food and beverage stop where the trail ends. We preferred this last one though it was shabby because it looked more authentic and less touristic. They also sell local produce there such as tomate paste etc.
We have spent around 2 hours in these Waterfalls and we enjoyed it. I can imagine that on a crowded day it might be less enchanting as the walking trail is rather narrow. But if you go there early in the morning or late in the afternoon, you can really enjoy this place.

Inceburun Lighthouse

Reviewed By TubaKoseogluOkcu - Istanbul, Turkey

This lighthouse is famous for being located at 42nd north parallel, which means the northernmost point of Turkey. It's built back in 1863 and is run by the same family ever since.
Commute to the lighthouse is easy in case you have a car, the road signs are very straightforward, but there is no public transportation to this destination.
The place is very pastoral. The white lighthouse and blue sea on a shiny day creates almost a Greek island scene. There are cows and dogs of the lighthouse keepers grazing and walking around. For those who love to take photos, this place is a pastoral heaven.
The family runs a small coffee shop there: you can order tea, coffee or ayran (a traditional Turkish beverage prepared with yogurt). But they don't serve food (however you can bring your own food).
Make sure you visit this lovely spot when you are in Sinop, you definitely won't regret it.

This is a fascinating place with a lot of history--but you'll have to dig out all the details yourself. Things are not well marked in English. It's a great place to wander around and imagine what it was like for the prisoners.

Destination point to nature for rest. Small lake view restaurant together with the facilities at forest. Picnic area can serve you nice walking route around the lake. Besides some activities at area, restaurant serves you for brunch , lunch or dinner. It is good activity atmosphere for winter time as summer or spring and autumn.
