I would say this was one of the best trips I've ever taken. Brilliant itinerary - Visited 9 UNESCO Wold Heritage sites. The places we visited were truly breath taking. Fazli, the tour director/guide pulled together an amazing trip in the challenging environment during the pandemic in April 2021. He was the best, very knowledgeable and super dependable. Requests and questions before, during and after my trip were always welcomed with a courteous attitude, so called " Turkish Hospitality". He also knew the best restaurant in each place we visited which is a very important attribute as well. Everything was wonderful and hoping to come back to travel the Black sea and eastern Turkey with him in the near future. Lastly, I would like to thank Mr. Favzi for driving us during the trip with such a pleasant attitude and professionalism.

Highly recommend this trip and Serendipity overall. We booked a 7 day trip for April 2021 and turned out, our trip was during Ramadan and a pretty strict lockdown in Turkey. It was a great trip because the owner, Fazli, is an incredibly gifted guide and wonderful person. He and his driver were great hosts, nice, extremely knowledgeable, gracious, and excellent communicators. It was definitely an unusual time to travel, however, the hospitality from Fazli, all of the hotels, restaurants, sites were beyond our expectations, We saw great sites, including Gallipoli, Canakkale, Troy, Pergamon, Ephesus, Selcuk-Kusadasi,Pamukkale, Konya, Cappadocia and highly recommend traveling with Fazli and Serendipity Travel.

Booked through Goodman tours weeks before our scheduled Balloon flight via Viator. Received confirmation, got tickets. Night before our flight we get an email, not from Goodman tours but from Viator advising that Balloon flight has been cancelled due to “overbooking”. Rang Goodman tours, they say cancelled because of bad weather but there were heaps of other balloon flights the next morning. Very disappointed as we went to Cappadocia specifically for the Balloon ride. Could of let us know earlier in the day so we could book another flight. Goodman tours offered a complimentary activity, but if never eventuated. Will not use them again.

Went on a “private” group tour. It is winter and due to lesser visitors, we got a private tour for a group tour price. From Izmir, it took about 45-60min to arrive at the Ephesus. There was an optional rest room stops along the way. Our guide, Belkant, did a fantastic job of explaining all the sites in Ephesus and later, the Home of Virgin Mary, which was on top of a mountain near Ephesus. The tour included a good Turkish lunch at carpet factory. Of course, there was the “flying carpet” show to entice potential buyers. We learnt a lot about the Turkish carpet industry but we are not a big fan of carpets in general. So politely, we declined all their offers.
