The Lagoa de Santo André is totally separated from the ocean, except once a year in March for the renewal of the water. It is confortable to swim and even in August, this place is not crowded.

The site is not too big, but very well kept, with a temple that is partly reconstructed. Miróbriga is known since the sixteenth century and inhabited since at least the Iron Age. This agglomeration is distinguished by its forum; by housing and shopping area; the complex of bathhouses, one of the best preserved in peninsular territory, the sidewalks and hydraulic systems; the bridge and also by the hippodrome, single plant specimen known in Portugal

The Castle is nice and you can go inside (it is now a cemitery) and walk around the walls and see the view, there’s also a garden on the outside which is very pleasant.
