Absolutely breathtaking scenery, a great walk with the family and dogs. I'd read up about how filthy the toilets were previously to visiting so came prepared with antibacterial wipes and hand wash. Could do with more toilets especially for the ladies as we can't go behind tree's. More bins too as I noticed lots of dog mess all around the Reservoir and that included poop bags with dog mess in, so clearly people were bagging up their dogs poop but due to lack of bins were throwing the bags on the path. Will definitely return again for the views. Car park was quite small and packed so can imagine it would be a nightmare in summer trying to get a space. Car park cost £1.30 for the whole day and that was also with a blue badge. I think it was 60p for 3 hours.

I just want to comment on how much we enjoyed our Christmas experience and despite you losing power just before we were due to go in the grotto your staff were kind, thoughtful and friendly despite the fact some other visitors were complaining. It was clear that safety came first and your staff made sure it was safe for people to enter rather than just rushing to get people in an we were able to keep warm in the petting barn which was also a lovely experience as always. Well handled and very professional. This has always been my children's favourite farm and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Love visiting Tandle Hills Country Park, it’s a beautiful park, with activities for the children. Either take just a stroll, or a longer hike, lots of different paths to follow. Climb up to the top of the hill and get amazing views. Lots of benches if you are feeling a little tired. There is a cafe, but not always open. But there are picnic benches. There is plenty of parking. Well worth a visit at anytime of the year.

We have been visiting cheeky chimps for a number of years now with our children, have attended numerous parties there, as well as holding parties for our children there too. We have always found it to be a perfect play centre, that is clean, safe and fully enclosed, where you can see your children at all times. Excellent cafe, with a good select of food and drinks for both children and adults. Parties here are always great and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely worth the visit!!!!!

Community Venue available for hire for weddings, wedding receptions, dinners, Concerts, exercise classes, play groups, meetings and more

Reviewed By RedBP - Manchester, United Kingdom

This is my first visit as a concert venue to the Civic Hall in Uppermill Oldham. The venue was an ideal size to see such a lively interactive band as Hayseed Dixie. They had a licensed bar for refreshments which was very reasonably priced but did have a queue. The atmosphere was very friendly with a very mixed age group.
There was a support act Tom Copson that performed before the main act which was very good. Hayseed Dixie came on at 8:30 and played until 10:30 with non stop rock/bluegrass aka rockgrass music that was brilliant to listen to. John Wheeler aka Barley Scotch lead vocal, guitar and fiddle, Johnny Butten on the banjo holder of the Guinness Book of World Records title for Fastest Banjo Player also played the fiddle and vocals, Hippy Joe Hymas on the mandolin, guitar and vocals with Jake "Bakesnake" Byers on bass and vocals. The technical capabilities of these musicians were first class. Vocals were excellent from all four. Songs had a mixture of humour along with the classic rock roots from a bluegrass perspective. The band interacted with the audience throughout the show to create a great atmosphere. It would be hard not to tap your feet to the beat. Great show and a surprising venue made the event special for me and my wife.
We would attend another act at this venue and will certainly see Hayseed Dixie again.

Creative vibrant space for the community and beyond. Reclamation Room incorporates a coffee shop, with creative workshops, art, retail, interior an commercial design, holistic therapies, community collaborations and much more

Reviewed By Bethany E - Oldham, United Kingdom

Reclamation room is the perfect hidden gem of Uppermill. If ever I'm heading out for a brew or something to eat this is always my first choice. No matter what you order you will not be disappointed..especially if it's a cheese scone! The staff are just lovely..all of the time! They will always help and have a smile for everyone.
One of the best things is how community led Reclamation rooms is though. They support local businesses in what they sell and run work shops for all kinds of different activities whilst also running a community garden. So even if you weren't hungry you could always find something to do here!
