Southbroom Golf Course

Friendliest, best equipped & most Professional shop on whole coast, with fantastic attractive course, great club & wonderful staff

We travelled a total of 400kms to visit the ProShop which is so well stocked it makes a golfers eyes water! Well done to Sheena and Derek. The variety of Men's Pringle shirts, golf shirts and shorts and that amazing ARC label golf clothing for ladies is a winner.
Wish my golf did the course justice. It looks like an easy course but one needs to think about the tee shots as there is sufficient water to catch the inaccurate and those bunkers are not ornaments! I suggest taking a caddy as they know their oats. Wiseman was a great caddy and is highly recommended.
The course is really pretty so those that do not play golf would enjoy accompanying their golfing partner just for the beautiful views and some "strange" houses along the golf course.
Well worth a visit to play golf and some retail therapy.

we visited on a Sunday afternoon. The owner had a snake talk and afterwards there was a crocodile feeding. The owner was very knowledgeable and passionate about his animals and gave a lot of advice how to deal with South african snakes, we learned much about snake venoms, snake bites etc. The crocodile feeding was well worth watching, as the place is very popular it was difficult to get a good view on the crocodiles.

We were diving in winter and if they don't have enough divers they tell you they don't go diving the previous afternoon so you cannot change plans.
We didn't book directly with them, another company did. They booked 5 reef dives and a baited and when we arrived they told us that they didn't know anything.

C-Freaks Tours & Sightseeing

Reviewed By TourismTattler2014 - Ballito, South Africa

C-Freaks operates from Margate and launches from Shelley Beach for the ultimate experience in Fun Boat Rides, Shark Cage Diving and Scuba Diving.
The ‘Fun Boat Ride’ is aptly named, as the experienced skipper opens the twin 85hp outboard motors full-throttle to jump back-line swells and ramp the boats wake while performing ‘doughnuts’.
The action is preceded with a sedate cruise along the coastline accompanied with humorous commentary and anecdotes on landmarks from the tour guide.
Stop-offs along the KZN Shark Board’s baited buoys and shark nets add interest to the tour, while a brief interlude allows passengers to enjoy a deep-water swim among the warm Indian Ocean swells.
Highly recommended for all ages, the pre-launch safety briefing belays any fears that clients may have.

Our 5 year old daughter was up and Surfing in just a few days with Rich. This enthralled her for the rest of the holiday and was a brilliant child exhauster. As an unexpected side benefit, falling constantly in the sea, has taken her pool swimming to a whole other level. Can't wait for our younger daughter to be able to do it too.

We went to the Skybar for a sundowner late one afternoon. Staff was friendly-enough, but not very eager to attend to us. Music a bit too loud - maybe the reason why the staff could not hear what en when we needed something. We realize that they might cater for a certain age-group, but if you invite your hotel-guests to make use of your facility, it would be appreciated if they could really cater for more different types of patrons.

Great vibe with a good layout. Nice place to unwind and party your face off. It tends to get crowded in peak season which is annoying.
