It's a beautiful and peaceful park. I work relatively close and it feels good to go there to lunch and then walk around a little bit.

Well we picked the wettest Easter on record to visit Porto.
We did the lower part of the bridge on the pouring rain and the return from the Dark Side by the upper bridge in what can only be described as crazy windswept outward bound type adventure. People were blown sideways. Umbrellas broken beyond repair.
What a day.
It's just a bridge...looks the bees knees. It was built back in 1792...so with those winds it has stood the test of time.
We were shot blasted but survived.

This church is also known as Igreja do Bom Jesus de Matosinhos. The inside gold leafed carvings are most impressive. The church and surrounding grounds were reconstructed in the early 18th century with resources from offers promised by immigrants who made a fortune in Brazil.
The church closes from noon until 2:30 (Mon-Sat) and from noon to 5 pm on Sundays, so plan your visit accordingly.

This zoo has some amazing animals, such as lions, tigers and a brown bear! You can also get very close to them unlike many zoos in the UK. It's just a shame how small some of the enclosures are, and how little shade is offered...MoreWe want to thank the kind words. Be always welcome

The location is very good, just 100m from the Metro station. The tour guide described the history related with the tower as well as the city history itself. Monumento Nacional desde 1884, cuja data de construcao e anterior a propria nacionalidade. Esta igreja foi fundada pelos cavaleiros do Santo Sepulcro, sendo duplice, por nele morarem conegos e conegas de Santo Agostinho, da ordem regrante do Santo Sepulcro. De origem romanica possui duas naves com capiteis ornados com folhagens e decoram-na paineis pintados com motivos vegetalistas e animais. Destaca-se na sua frontaria o portal de quatro arquivoltas ogivadas, e, no lado norte, o portal de duas arquivoltas igualmente ogivadas, com a cruz de Malta no timpano.

Very old church rebuilted in 1097, mostly romanic style. You should also visit the cemitery. Outside the church there are some old graves.
