Kecskemet Town Hall

Reviewed By abager - London, United Kingdom

The late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries saw a flowering of an art nouveau style that combined the decorative styles of the Secession with Hungarian traditional styles and technologies. This building is a very fine example of the genre.

Varga Tanya Horse Show

Reviewed By Simon G - Brighton, United Kingdom

Had the pleasure of watching the horse show (after my brother got married in the grounds) it was a wonderful experience and definately worth watching. They also told you a bit of history while doing the show, the show was about 30 minutes long and even got the opportunity to ride a horse afterwards. The staff/horse riders were very friendly and it was a great experience to watch.

We visited on a gorgeous summer's day which was perfect to enjoy this landscaped tree-lined Square with all its churches and the Town Hall. There are Fountains to appreciate, cafes to indulge, & plenty of benches to simply sit on & take life easy.

Kecskemet Bath

Reviewed By Christian M

The thermal bath in Kecskemét includes several swimming pools and different saunas. It is quite new and in excellent condition. The sauna area has an extra fee that I recommend you pay. Do try the outdoor bath even in the winter! We started with thermal bath, then swimming laps, then sauna, back to thermal bath etc.
There is a cafe area with snacks and you can stay all day :o) The price is around 5000 HUF including the sauna, which is a bargain.

I discovered these museums after following a sign in the town centre and was pleasantly surprised. There are no English explanations but the exhibits spoke for themselves. The toy museum has quite an extensive collection and the museum of naïve art which the caretaker had to unlock for me ( one can get quite far with sign language!) was also worthwhile.

Kiskunsagi Nemzeti Park

This is the second oldest national park of Hungary, established in 1975. It is made up of seven disjoint units. The most special parts are salt-marshes and sand dunes. You need to appreciate the beauty of flatlands to enjoy it. Birdlife is very rich.
I spent one week of summer in an ornithology camp in this national park a couple of times when I was a kid, the photos are from those times.

Kecskemeti Zoo

Reviewed By Danielle1421 - Martonvasar, Hungary

My boyfriend and I were here because we love animals. It is a great place, the price is ok, but there are not so many animals,so you can spend 1-2 hours not more. Furthermore some animals have very little place which is kind of sad.
You can also buy food for animals and feed them, but if the weather is rainy or not that good, then the animals are in their cave or place, hiding from you. I would have liked to see a raccoon but it was sleeping.
The monkeys are super funny and you can also pet the bunnies
