June 30, 2021 Roseanne Arnett

Known as the safari capital of Africa, Nairobi is an energetic, modern city that serves as a fascinating introduction to both wildlife and nightlife. Music clubs pulse with life, shops and markets bustle, and a mélange of restaurants will tempt your palate in this former Maasai watering hole. Top sights include the Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre and the black rhinos of Nairobi National Park. The compact city center is safe to walk in and taxis make other areas accessible.

Kaya Spa

Reviewed By 254dannnyke - Nairobi, Kenya

It was no ordinary Monday as I had the pleasure to visit Kaya Spa on Monday 11th November 2019 after a long day running errands, not to mention a crazy work week. Right from the security gate I was welcomed and treated like a VIP and ushered in to the lobby where I met Kenya's most friendliest front office staff. Vera upon greeting me took me to the Spa...which was a treat by itself as the path is intentionally filled with nature aesthetics that by the time I was meeting the Kaya Spa team I felt transported to another alternate universe where all is peaceful and relaxing. I was taken to a treatment room by Lucy Madhana, who has been inviting me to try out the facility for years but Nairobi Hustle.... The treatment room was very spacious and could host a couple spa treatment but this time round I was solo...She gave me time to disrobe and assembled her Facial kit and products and from the minute I laid down, I forgot the past grueling work weeks...The products used were legit and you could tell from Lucy's hands that she knew what she was doing as there were no long pauses or fidgety hands. I really felt pampered and I must say a week later my face has never looked so amazing. Lucy went on further to give me some simple tips on how I can look after my problematic Oily combination face...After which I was served some lemon and ginger herbal tea with some fruit...Chinese style...this reminded me of my fond memories when I worked for a Chinese...The whole experience was amazing...and I will be back Kaya Spa. Asante sana Lucy. Kind regards, Maureene Danielle

An excellent place to chill...socialise...meet and greet and much more. A vibrant venue with cosmopolitan mix of humanity with a happy and cheerful vibe. Loads of food varieties at the food courts along with some up.market lounges n fine dine eateries. Lovely coffee areas and chocolate bars along with great shops with some very good up market gift items all under one roof. Supermarkets also exist so a quick.purchase is possible A bowling alley with busy youngsters trying their skills is also a point of interest for families visiting with teenagers I would indeed recomend this venue to all visitors.
