Super agradável passar o dia no Sítio da Pedra Chata, principalmente em dias de calor para poder ae refrescar na piscina de águas correntes, feita entre duas enormes pedras que servem de Paredes para ela.
O atendimento é muito bom, cordial e familiar.
Possui 3 chalés para quem quiser passar o final de semana.
Para quem gosta de caminhar, tem uma trilha que sobe ate a Pedra Chata, com um visual bem legal da região e também da acesso a uma caverna que, se acredita, ter sido habitada por índios.
Serve Porções e almoço apenas para grupos pré agendados.
Lugar ideal para passar o dia.

The views were amazing and it was fairly easy to get there, but if you go by car until the beginning of the 'trilha' be aware that your car will be covered on dust, as the roads to get there are unpavemented.

I have visit a hundred Breweries before, but Valenbier was special. Débora, our guide, was super! She taught us about the family, the brewery, the brewing process, and the different styles they brew (at the moment, six). Visiting a micro brewery is nice because you can be really close to the equipments, the raw material, and everything else. The tour provides a free tasting of all the produced beers, and it is really hard to say which of them is the best. I can truly recommend the tour, and the beers!

Stop at the pousada Pouso do Rochedo for directions and a map. If you are not staying there, it's R$20 per person and worth it. Beautiful Waterfalls and a steep climb (not for the faint hearted) to a great view. The trail is well kept and sign posted. There are two places to stop and fill up your water bottle. Allow 3h for a full tour. The pousada serves lunch. Xx

O atendimento do seu Brás é o destaque, o dono também estava por lá, brincando com os consumidores.
Os preços não são muito baratos, mas também não é nada de outro mundo para quem está acostumado com os preços de SP.

Not that I think Monte Verde is the best place ever to visit. But, I had a nice time. It took forever to arrive there. There is no much restaurants available during the trip, but plenty available in the town. As we don´t like adventure sports we went to try bars and restaurants. Try the beer small local industry. You can ask for a table in front of the glass and drink watching the production. Go for shopping chocolate and local cheese. Amazing productions. Otherwise, the town is really small, with on main street. People get excited when temperatures go below 1oC, as in Brazil this is not normal. I suggest 2 days in this town.

O museu está localizado dentro da Pousada Locanda Belvedere, no piso superior. É super completo, tem revistas antigas, aparelhos toca discos e muitos muitos discos de vinil. Você pode escolher as músicas, sentar-se nas poltronas disponíveis e curtir a vista verde que se apresenta através das janelas ao som de clássicos da MPB.

Ponto mais alto de toda a região, o Pico do Selado fica um pouco mais distante de Monte Verde, e é necessária uma caminhada de aproximadamente 2 horas a partir do Platô para se alcançar seu cume, a 2082 metros de altitude. A trilha é um pouco cansativa, com trechos íngremes (razão pela qual não é recomendável levar crianças pequenas). No topo do Selado tem-se uma soberba visão panorâmica de toda a serra, e as nuvens abaixo dão a impressão de que estamos em um avião! Ao final da tarde, se o dia estiver claro, podem-se ver as luzes de sete cidades da região e do Vale do Paraíba.

It is a good walk to get there, but the view is amazing. Lot`s of nature in the way, perfect if you are a bird lover, you may not see them all, but you can hear them singing. Unfortunately, the infrastructure is a bit poor.
