A tourist office gives visitors all necessary information for the best seals watching experience. When , where ... We have not been disappointed: seals come ashore one by one, across from the river, about 100 yards away.
We really enjoyed this amazing experience for free.
A large parking lot nearby is very conveniently located. Congratulations to hte city of Berck and its tourist office. Well done!

C'est du fait maison incontestablement, mais vendu au prix fort.
La valeur ajouté au kilo de sucre travaillée par cette maison réputée me semble un peu excessive...
Enfin, c'est mon avis.

This is a place that clearly thrives in the summer. To give it a fair chance it probably needs to be experienced in warmer weather. I wouldn't recommend it for the winter as a tourist. The facilities look tired and in need of some updating & tender loving care. Most places are closed so you will have to search the side streets for any sign of life.
The beach is wonderful with a huge expanse of sand to stroll on but I'd bypass Berck as a town and go to Le Touquet instead.
There was dog poo along the Promenade. Something needs to be done to tackle this, especially if children are involved. It's hard to look where you are going for fear of treading in something. I've been told that Beurk means yuk in French which is a bit unfortunate.
It's also difficult to find any toilets or amenities..
So, all in all disappointing, but there are so many lovely places to visit in the area, such as Montreuil....

This was our second visit and on both occasions we were struck by how welcoming and helpful the staff were. We had a special reason for visiting: to see the archaeological material from the excavations at Grigny and staff pointed us towards the excavation report for the site. All the archaeological material is well laid out and the galleries a pleasure to wander around. Equally absorbing is the excellent collection of paintings, mainly from the 19th. century which shed a fascinating light on the town when fishing was the main business out on the beach, some very striking images, check out the gallery of small portraits of local pensioners, a room full of stories.

Lovely beach but the best thing is just watching the sea lions.
They are on a sand bank not far from a viewing point. If they are not laying about they are swimming past just taking the day in and watching the visitors.
If you want good photos you will need a good camera with a good zoom lens
Well worth a visit

This bar was well done in as much as a great effort has been made to replicate an American style bar from an earlier time, prices were a little higher than the average for the town but staff were pleasant, the place immaculately clean and there was lots of choice.

Really good place well run with good karts and good price... But off the beaten track so be careful and look out for it behind industrial estate

Golden white sand stretches for miles along this beautiful quiet empty coast. Naturist area is just to north, walk to your right, to quickly reach unclothed beach. A bit spoiled by so many huge old military concrete bunkers, but that can't be helped now...
