My esteemed spouse and I started in Praiano, near the center and hiked up..up..up..to the convent...and what a hike it is! Yes, you will be tired and your calves will hurt after, but to be so alone, to listen to the bells of the goats, to spot the old buildings that are crumbling into the rocks and wonder who would have ever built something there..and then to see the sea below you..this is an amazing experience. Wear layers as you will work up a sweat. Bring water as there was none on the path. But mostly bring yourself and get ready for a wonderful time. Total from Praiano to the convent and back was about 2 and a half hours, but we were in no hurry!

We ordered our lava stone table, chairs, garden bench and place mats from Piccadilly when we visited Amalfi in July. They custom-made everything according to our liking and personalized every item with our family name. When we received our order recently, we were so amazed by the detailed artwork they have produced! Everything arrived safely in perfect condition. We visited various ceramic factories while we were in Amalfi Coast but the quality and design at Piccadilly really impressed us so we decided to order from them. Their price may not be the cheapest but their service and final products really made every dollar worthwhile. The products took a while to be made as they are all hand-painted. However they kept us informed. They also emailed us the photos of our products to make sure all the details are correct before they send them via DHL Express to Australia. We now have our little piece of Amalfi in our backyard! It's the best souvenir we have ever had!

I saw this place on Red Bull's cliff diving world championships, and I immediately became determined to make a journey for the awesome cliff jumping!
The area is relatively secluded. There's not much traffic on the bridge, and the beach is open to the public, unlike many spots in Positano or Amalfi. Some boats come in to take a peak, since it's a landmark, but there's a line that they aren't allowed to cross, which keeps them on the other side of the bridge.
It's really quite scenic, especially during sunrise. It also makes for a good swim. You can see some fishes and jellyfish. The real draw of this place though is the epic cliff jumping spots! All along the stairway from the bridge to the beach, there are good angles and platforms to dive off. They're at varying heights, so you can choose what you're comfortable with. If you're up for a real rush, you can also jump off of the bridge, which is about 30m high. I highly recommend it, if you have good experience diving and cliff jumping!
Also, it's really easy to get to Fiordo di Furore. The best way is probably by bus, unless your staying in Furore. If you take the bus, just get off one stop before Furore.

We spent a day In Praiano. We enjoyed the town, the beach and this beautiful Church. It has a very pretty domed altar, and marble floors. The domed tower is very unique and colorful, we saw it on the horizon on the day we were on the water.

Delighted with our purchase of plates from Ceramiche d'Arte Carmela during a trip to Ravello last month. Their range is fantastic and was the best that we saw during our time staying on the Amalfi Coast. Customer service was very helpful , including an email advising when our purchase had been shipped and when to expect Delivery. Couldn't believe they arrived 2 days later in Melbourne, Australia . Arrived in perfect condition, very well packed with lots of polystyrene.

Gianluca took me on Friday on the path of gods. It was wonderful. Gianluca knew so much about plants, history and every possible mountain in the region. I extremely enjoyed the time with picturesque views and unforgettable scenery. Highly recommended! If possible not at the weekends! As there are too many people on the trails.

Crystal clear water, the sound of the waves rolling in only to be upstaged by "Keee-oh" sounds of the overflying seagulls. The restaurants were getting busy for the start of the season and we sampled the fresh catch of shrimps in the raw. Delicious !!
You'll get the same views walking down the path from Fiori towards the beach as from the 5* world renown Grand Hotel Il Saraceno which is set in an Arabian-style building overlooking the ruins of a 12th-century fortress and the Tyrrhenian Sea, this location is 3 km from Amalfi and 10 km from Villa Rufolo.

Raffaela Amato was terrific. She responded quickly to our questions, accommodated our schedule, and was informative in fluent English. The tasting at Bacco was wonderful afterwards, with a friendly informative server, and great food, both vegetarian and seafood. We highly recommend this side-trip when you are on the Amalfi Coast.

If you visit Amalfi and would like to do something that most of the sheeple don't do then this is for you! Avoid the crowds and tourist hotspots to discover a truly unique and magical place. Follow the steps past the paper museum up in to the mountain where you trek uphill alongside the river towards the nature reserve. Along the way you pass abandoned water mills, small falls & pools as well as a delightful organic cafe serving cold drinks and food. It takes about an hour of uphill walking to get to the reserve but it is well worth the effort! Stunning scenery and breathtaking views await you. The path is easy to follow but sturdy footwear is a must. Allow at least 2 hours to get to the reserve and back again, more if you stop on the way or want to explore the reserve.

We spent a lot of time searching for this villa after having visited Villa Rufolo. Google Maps and Trip advisor directions took us on a wild goose chase and we actually started going out of Ravello and towards Amalfi. We asked for directions and we were told to head back to Ravello. As it turned out, the villa is quite hidden inside Ravello. One must take a left after passing Villa Rufolo and then a right and continue on for about 15 minutes to reach this villa.
Upon seeing what this place has to offer, it made all of our trouble worth it. In my opinion, this is the better of the two Roman villas in Ravello that offer incredible sights and a very large garden with many points of interest to explore. Not to be missed!
