The national park does a wonderful job of protecting the enormous gannet colony on Bonaventure Island, while providing excellent viewing for bird-watching. Access to the island is by boat, and the ride can be rough. The bird colony is located across the island from the boat dock/visitor's center, about a 45 minute hike over the summit, or a 90 minute hike (easier terrain) at the perimeter. Bathrooms are plentiful. Bring your rain jacket, water, and a camera!

Walk through one of the city gates and you will be transported back in time - wander the cobblestone streets, ride in horse drawn carriages, dine at sidewalk cafes, shop in the artist's alley way, and photograph countless historic buildings. The huge boardwalk overlooking the historic lower town stretches across the front of the beautiful Chateau Frontenac providing the perfect place to sit and enjoy - especially if you can get up early and beat the crowds! Lots of restaurants, shops, beautiful churches (don't miss Notre Dame and the church in Place Royal) and so much charming architecture. Take the stairs down to the lower city or ride the funicular ... stroll the streets, take lots of photographs and have lunch. In the lower city visit Place Royal and Notre-Dame-des-Victories church to see the huge model ship hanging from the ceiling - then eat pizza at La Pizz or a snack at Maison Smith. If you need a ride back up catch the funicular! Don't miss the gorgeous fountain outside the gate and across from the beautiful Parliment building.

Absolutely loved this part of Montréal! So well maintained and lovely to listen to proud tourist guides narrating the history of the beautiful buildings the river the port the churches the restaurants the streets- there were sculptures murals and art galleries all over Rue St Paul- a must visit for everyone!

A beautiful,enchanting,calm,peaceful place for prayer is Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal.A must visit place of Montreal.and by seeing its beauty from outside ,u r spellbound.A well heighted green dome which gives you a feeling that its moving -when u see the Dome from down and clouds are moving-a beautiful feeling,moreover from there u can see most of the Montreal and if its evening may be a nice sunset also.Its a place of prayer but now designated as National Historic Site of Canada. so many visitors are coming every day to see its marvel inside and outside both.The Basilica is dedicated to Saint Joseph and herein Brother Andre -who had miraculous healing power which helped so many pilgrims-heart of Brother Andre is well-kept in Church museum .inside also a decorated big altar and peaceful surrounding.just like Notre Dame Basilica this Basilica has also got big harmonica which is played every time. a worth and must visit Basilica in Montreal.

Visited the Granby Zoo in August 2017 with our two children (age 7 and 9). They had a blast. So much to see - definitely recommend buying the two day pass if you intend to also go to the water park because there is too much to see in just one day. The kids loved seeing all the animals and, while there's alot of walking, it's not as much as at the Toronto Zoo. The water park was a welcome chance to cool down after a long walk around the Zoo (kids couldn't get enough of the wave pool!). While I agree with other comments re. the price fo the food, there was a special for dinner after 5:00 p.m. which helped. Also, if your family is really organized (ours is not!), lots of people brought coolers / wagons and had their own picnics (lots of places to sit). The only negative would be that the amusement park section of the Zoo is really for very young children. The only 2 rides for older children were the rollercoaster and pirate ship, both of which you had to pay extra for. Go for the Zoo and water park, if you end up going to the amusement park, that's a bonus.

A must to visit! Gatineau park is just beautiful. Close to Ottawa, with so many lakes including Pink lake (green), trails, wildlife, breathtaking views especially from Belvèdere where you can see as far as the Outaouais River. Good variety of restaurants (Chelsea) it does not matter the season of the year, each one is unique in its own way. In Autunm enjoy the colors is just magic!!! My favorite place in the Outaouais.

Tremblant is fabulous! The pedestrian village is beautiful and the two other Tremblant villages are next door and have great restaurants. The skiing is fantastic for all levels, there are green trails to double blacks from the top. Even during school vacation week, there were no lift lines. There are many other activities, too. There is an indoor waterpark and spa onsite. There is also an activity center that will hook you up with a variety of excursions. We did a dog sled tour and drove snow buggies. It was fantastic! If you go, bring a lot of layers. Actually, bring ALL YOUR WINTER CLOTHES. It is freezing! If you live in the US northeast, drive the extra few hours to Tremblant. It is worth it.

Beautiful cathedral in the heart of Old Montreal $8 Canadian to get in We did not have a formal tour but caught some of other tour leaders speaking I think the tours are free at certain times of day It is a beautiful church in outstanding condition Obviously they take great pride in this historic site Well worth the visit
