This museum contains more than 140,000 artifacts, mainly excavated from a large tomb more than 2,400 years old.
I am a native of Wuhan, and I often take some foreign guests to visit Wuhan. For me, Hubei Provincial Museum is: If you want to know the history of Wuhan, we will recommend you to Hubei Provincial Museum. The treasure of the treasures in the Museum are the bamboo slips used in the Qin Dynasty, the Sword of Goujian, the Chime bells from the Tomb of Marquis Yi of the Zeng State, and the Blue and White plum vase of the four loves in Yuan Dynasty. It is worth mentioning that, the chime of Marquis Yi is the most complete one in China. You can enjoy the rare chime show if you are lucky enough.

This tributary joins the Yangtze River at the Three Gorges.
We had an opportunity to take this excursion on our Yangtze River Cruise. Take it! One gets to see the delicate natural beauty of a Yangtze Tributary. I did not realize that most of the cruise on the Yangtze was through jungle. On this excursion, we saw monkeys and many varieties of interesting trees. There are hanging coffins a thousand years old or more in the crevices of the rocks high above you. You travel up a true gorge with great beauty. You turnaround just past the huge bridge being built overhead. Take a jacket. It can be quite cool. The local guides will give you background on life in the area that is quite fascinating.

I am a native of Wuhan, and I often take some foreign guests to visit Wuhan. For me, East Lake is: If you like the natural scenery, East Lake is a good choice. Walking on the lakeside, weeping willow, lotus pond, stone bridge, landscape of lakes and mountains, too beautiful to be absorbed all at once. Occasionally you can see one or two wild ducks playing on the lake. When you are tired, you can take a rest on the stone bench by the side of the lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sunset. In this situation, time will be very slow, and you will enjoy the nourishment of nature.

Beautiful campus. It is so big. Right by a huge lake, which is surrounded by gorgeous colorful lights at night. In any other city, the lights alone would be an attraction! We heard that in the spring, the streets are lined with cherry blossoms, and it is a huge local attraction. In the summer, people will swim in the lake.

With all the natural beauty China has to offer at times you just have to admire the scale of the man made achievements too. The 3 Gorges dam project is on a scale that is mind boggling. 600+km of reservoir, 1.3 million inhabitants relocated, ship lift, loch system, flood mitigation and the power generation. This is a serious achievement accomplished by a lot of hard working people. Well worth a visit and the outdoor escalators made the ascent easy. Like all major attractions in China there are crowds but that is China so you need to adapt and not complain!
