Sastavci

Sastavci is not "also called" Veliki Slap. They are two different falls. Veliki Slap is the "Great Falls" (i.e., the tallest/highest waterfall in the park). Sastavci is the waterfall below Veliki Slap, that will be on your right as you're heading toward Veliki. Anyway, semantics aside, this waterfall is pretty cool b/c you walk right by/over it. It's especially nice in the morning when the gorge below is misty from the spray of these falls.

Mali Buk

Reviewed By Brittany_11_10 - Los Angeles, United States

One of the prettiest falls in the park, in my opinion. Also, you can pull off the boardwalk here a smidge to linger (as long as it's not crowded, as it very much can be) and get some good photos. Located in the Upper Lakes area of the park, this waterfall is most easily accessed by entering Gate 2, though it's worth it to go to the Lower Lakes area as well. The whole park is beautiful.

This centrally located theater seats only 850 people.

This imposing building sits in the 'Green Horseshoe' area in the centre of Tito Square. The Croatian National Theatre ( Hrvatsko Narodno Kazaliste or HNK ) was built by architects Herman Helmer & Ferdinand Fellner under the Habsburg Empire & inaugurated in 1895. There are 5 theatres to encompass the wide variety of theatrical performances which attract a wide audience. The surrounding area used to be all swampland. Cathedral of the Assumption

Reviewed By JulieM531 - Wellington, New Zealand

Magnificent set up on the hill above the city. Majestic, beautiful, even though one tower is shrouded with scaffolding. Walking inside we were overwhelmed by the peaceful serenity, beauty of the architecture, the many glorious stained glass windows, the statues and altar. We lit candles for recently departed dear friends and their grieving families and felt an extra special peace and comfort as we walked away. Truly a very special place to visit. So good for the soul to find such peace in today's world ...

Durante l’avvento di Zagabria, in questa grande piazza c’è una bellissima pista di pattinaggio. Ci siamo divertiti tantissimo, adatta anche a chi non sa pattinare bene. During Zagreb’s Advent, there is a wonderful ice-skating track on this square. We had a lot of fun, and it’s good also for those that can’t skate so well.
