We were a little early for our check in, The front desk staff was very helpful trying to get us in our rooms early. We were offered rooms on the 6th floor which I would not recommend. Ceilings were much lower and windows were much smaller so rooms weren't near as bright as on 4th floor room. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very conveniently located, We enjoyed walking the city and seeing all of the historic buildings/churches. It was sad to see the damage the earthquake caused. The included breakfast was delicious!! Lots of good options. Why a great way to start our days. We would highly recommend Esplanade Zagreb Hotel.

Reviewed By Glen HVery good stay, one of the best on my travels through Europe, with just a few little things preventing a 5 star. The room and bathroom were both spacious and clean. There is a coffee maker, tea, coffee, iron, ironing board and safe provided. The bed was very comfortable with comfortable pillows. The shower had good water pressure and hot water. Good wifi. Excellent location with a few minutes walk to the main train station and an easy walk to Upper Town, the main centre of the City. Cinema next door and tram right out front. Reception staff are brilliant. The TV, unfortunately was unwatchable. It's good to watch a bit last thing at night and first thing in the morning, but it was just continually 'loading' and then it just wouldn't switch off leaving a bright lit up room. The breakfast is very good, but be warned if it is not automatically included, it's very expensive ($30 AUD). Service in the reception lounge/bar during the day was great for a coffee, but at night, even when quiet, it could be very indifferent. The transfer lounge for storage, with shower facilities is an excellent touch. Only minor points in the grand scheme of things, but very frustrating nevertheless. Would definitely stay again though, and definitely recommend!

Had everything I desired
Reviewed By Nancy JNot all hotels include a hot tub with their pool but this one does. It also had a nice view of the city from its infinity pool. Most importantly, there is LOTS of counter space in the bathroom which is good when you want to unpack your toiletries. The shower has a fully closing door not like some showers where half is left open. If you want to go to old town, a tram runs right by the hotel so easy transportation.

Hotel Dubrovnik is located on the main city square of Zagreb which has a unique hospitality tradition since 1929. It is the only hotel located in the heart of Zagreb and it is surrounded by most of the major tourist sites such as the cathedral, Zagreb old town, Dolac market, parks, bars and restaurants. The hotel contains a total of 222 rooms which are equipped with air-conditioning, private bathrooms with showers or a bathtub, hairdryer, TV and a minibar. If our guests have any additional request for their room, they can contact the hotel. One of the most unique features of Hotel Dubrovnik is that there is a tram station located right in front of the hotel that will take you to most places because the public transport in Zagreb is well organized and there is a taxi stop located 50m from the hotel. Our guests can enjoy American Steak House Restaurant which serves Croatian cuisine, a Lounge Bar and a summer terrace facing the main square. The Main Train Station is half a mile away, the Main Bus Station can be reached within just over 1 mile and Zagreb Airport is 11 miles away. If our guests need a taxi transfer from the airport, bus or train station they can reserve it through the hotel for a better price. Reviewed By calbchgrl7I wish we would’ve liked this hotel. It has a great location. But that’s about it for positives. The main issue is the air conditioning. The website claims to have air conditioning however four of us checked in and all of the rooms were at 25°C. We were constantly lied to about how low the rooms could actually go, from 20° to 24 to 22 depending on who we spoke to.My friends room was never cleaned over a four night stay, had spiderwebs upon entry into a room, and in my room the mattress pad doesn’t even cover the mattress. The front desk staff appeared to be not very helpful in any situation. The manager of the hotel was left messages about the air conditioning issues but never bothered to respond, never reached out, and never tried to remedy the situation. In fact on our last night all the rooms seem to be warmer than they were before. I would not stay here again and would caution people to be aware of this before they book.

Reviewed By bunnybumbooWe recently stayed here for 3 nights for our first time in Zagreb and couldn't fault it! Our room on the 4th floor was spacious and clean and bed was comfortable. It was also very quiet and we weren't disturbed by other guests / housekeeping during our stay. The staff were very friendly on check in and in the bar. The hotel bar is considerably more expensive than the rest of Zagreb (about 5.50GBP for a pint!) which is a shame. The location is good, it isn't right in the old town but is close enough that you can walk there, with plenty of bars and restaurants on the way in. Would stay here again when visiting Zagreb.

Reviewed By Dave48838We stayed in this hotel for several nights. It has a great location, just a few blocks walk to the main city center. The hotel has a small but elegant public area. Decorated in marble, wood and fine fabrics, there are two elevators that serve the upper floors. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed. It supplied everything that we could want. Our reservation included dinner in the hotel restaurant. The buffet had typical Croatian dishes, including the best pork roast I have eaten! Breakfast was also included. There were a variety of hot dishes and the usual fruits, breads, meats, cheeses, and pastries. Plus you can top your plate off with caviar and champagne. My only complaint is that I stopped by the bar for a drink. The bar does not seem to be in general use and the man attending did not know what he was doing. A martini is a simple cocktail but it seems that no one in Europe knows how to make one. Nevertheless, I rate this hotel very highly for its location and comfort.

The food was fantastic, room was fantastic, great location - very easy to get to the Plitvice Lakes, and there is mountain biking and horse riding tours within walking distance - but most of all the hosts are very friendly, very generous, and very helpful, for example, as well as breakfast, we were provided with sandwiches and cake to pack for a picnic lunch at the lakes. It was probably the best we have ever stayed.

We actually went to park first thing in the morning, back to hotel when park got busy and then shot back down to park in the evening. What a great, hardworking staff. Hotel was immaculate, gardens were beautiful and well kept. Honestly, they couldn't seem to do enough for us! Definitely recommend

Reviewed By majah911We stayed at tree house and although it was raining the whole stay, didn't regret for a minute. Tree house is cute, view from the window amazing. Two rooms, two bathrooms, little terrace beneath the house. Everyone was very friendly, nice. Food was great. Surrounding is very maintained and amazing. Would definitely come again just to chill and relax.
