The 10 Best Things to do Good for a Rainy Day in Guangdong, China

April 20, 2022 Trinity Boughner

Guangdong (Chinese: 广东) is a province in South China, located on the South China Sea coast. Traditionally romanised as Kwangtung, Guangdong surpassed Henan and Sichuan to become the most populous province in China in January 2005, registering 79.1 million permanent residents and 31 million migrants who lived in the province for at least six months of the year; the total population was 104,303,132 in the 2010 census, accounting for 7.79 percent of Mainland China's population. This also makes it the most populous first-level administrative subdivision of any country outside the former British Raj, as its population is surpassed only by those of the Pakistani province of Punjab and the Indian states of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. The provincial capital Guangzhou and economic hub Shenzhen are among the most populous and important cities in China. The population increase since the census has been modest, the province at 2015 had 108,500,000 people.

Chen Clan Ancestral Hall-Folk Craft Museum

A must-see attraction, with a history of more than 100 years and still in its original shape. The buildings are famous for their exquisite and mythical decorations, such as the brick carvings of historic figures. The temple also functions as a museum under the auspices of Guangdong Folk Arts Museum, exhibiting a variety of folk arts and crafts.

Great intro into Guangdong Folk Art. Traditional Chinese architecture and decoration, beautiful ornaments and ceramics on display and the building / temple as such is a sight itself. We started our day here and there's lots of other places nearby to check out, all easy to reach by taxi and some even on foot.

An interesting place showcasing the history of the greater region before it became a part of China proper. Museum has many artefacts and is well-presented. The mausoleum on the grounds is simpler, but nonetheless, a good visit paired with the museum.

This 90-minute show is a mixture of The House of Dancing Water and the typical animal circus. The acts take place on and off stage and over the audience.

The pre show entertainment starts at 7 pm. A very enjoyable show not to be missed. Bought our tickets thru klook with easy redemption at the admission tkt counters.

Zhuhai Imperial Hot Spring Resort

Reviewed By mtforde68 - Zhuhai, China

Highly recommend! This was our second visit to the Hot Springs, my wife, 10 year old daughter and myself, although we stayed the night this time which we will do again! The Hot Springs themselves are many man-made small and large pools, but with a realistic Traditional Japanese/Chinese concept and feel. The room we booked, with two beds, was very comfortable, clean and spacious with good service. Staying the night was incredibly relaxing, with outside activities and bountiful food, buffet style. There are many games that you can enjoy at anytime during the day, from darts to a pool table, foot soccer, bike riding, miniature bowls and other games. At night there is a small band that plays music, while you walk around selecting what to eat from the different stalls. I highly recommend that you visit or stay the night, just remember to go during the colder months and also during the work week...a lot cheaper and far fewer people. Hope this helps!

With more 15 years China sourcing and business experiences i would like to share the above popular wholesale market. You can find many latest designs in the wholesale markets, they update the new samples frequently ,mostly they accept to change the sizes and colors. They never put the new designs on internet because they worried about the competitors to copy their new designs. If your order quantity is big,you should visit and order with factories. All the factories have minimum order quantity, but different factories have different policies. If you need any questions, you can feel free to contact me. My Phone No./Whatsapp: +91-9880844022
