The Boardroom Climbing

A mighty fine indoor climbing venue just off the A55/M56 gateway to Wales. Stylish, relaxed and friendly with some beautiful problems, lead and TR lines. Over 1000m2 of climbing and home to the UK's first Psicobloc wall. A "dry" DWS/Highball boulder 8 meters above a custom foam mat giving 13 meter lines, solo, up to 8b. One word... Sick!!! We run taster sessions, induction to climbing, kids clubs, birthday parties, wheelchair climb/abseil, yoga classes, physio and sports massage. Great coffee and light refreshments. Free WiFi.

This climbing gym beats any around. I have bouldered for a couple of years now, living in Chester, then Shropshire and now Surrey I have tried many places. This climbing wall is the best I have been to. They re-route both upstairs and downstairs roughly every 4 weeks, meaning there is always new problems to try. They also have a small gym area to strengthen up after. The cafe is amazing and very well priced.

My sister and I are accomplished riders and decided we would like to go for a hack. Phoned these guys at short notice and they were able to accommodate us. Sarah took us out for an hour and we had a lovely ride on two wonderful horses. The scenery is a bonus too. They also have an indoor riding school.

Fantastic place for great quality beer, expertly cellared by the very knowledgeable landlord. It had a fantastic atmosphere pre-lockdown, friendly people, always plenty of laughter and great conversations. It has operated as a off-licence only since March and continues to offer a fantastic selection of beers on draught and in cans and bottles. Bring your own container for some lovely freshly poured keg beer!

Plas Teg Jacobean Mansion

A magnificent Grade 1 Listed 17th Century Jacobean Mansion brought back to its former glory. The recent restoration has enabled us a fascinating chance to truly step back in time.Built in 1610, this stunning house has over 400 years of history; deaths, dirty deeds, suicides, it has seen the lot! It is a former court house for the "Hanging Judge Jeffreys" and it is said some of his victims still haunt the house! The house is open for tours on a Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday at 2pm & 3pm. It is said to be the most haunted house in Wales so for those who dare, come and join the Paranormal team on a Saturday night on a hunt for the spirits that inhabit the house!

Been here a few times now. Set in the leisure centre which may put some folk off but rest assured a very pleasant spa awaits. Very clean facilities and very spacious. Crystal steam room is brilliant. Jacuzzi is massive too! Nice chill out room and lots of treatments available too. I have sampled hot stone massage and full body both excellent at very reasonable prices. I also had an express facial included in a deal which was also very good. It’s really laid back the times I have been and very relaxing. I would rate this spa far better than a lot of the reputable hotels around this area. Would certainly recommend this spa to others.
