Transfagarasan Highway

Reviewed By 118val - Shepparton, Australia

Because we travel mid October we were really fortunate that it was still open. The first part was magnificent with the sun shining through the colourful Autumn leaves. The road covered the southern section of the Carpathian mountains for 90 kilometers with steep hairpin bends, long S-curves and steep descents, climbs to 2,042 metres with snow in the upper sections. We stopped at Balea Lake and beautiful waterfall which was very peaceful as few people were travelling. some of the tunnels could be better lit however it really is a breath taking drive.

Fortress of Ponor

Reviewed By MeA18 - Paris, France

We went up on a very rainy day, and there was no problem, just make sure you're adequately equipped, because the track is not so easy, although doable by everybody. It was the most wonderful landscape we had ever seen. We also went inside the cave with headlamps, which was unforgettable (we recommend to do it with experienced people and water boots). As the site has been kept as it is, in its most natural way, you won't find any restaurant/bar in the national park, so make sure you bring your own food and drinks.

Apuseni Natural Park

Reviewed By Obeckett647 - Belfast, United Kingdom

The Apuseni Mountains are Romanian countryside at its best; flower-rich meadows, ancient forests and traditional wooden buildings. For the hiker they are ideal, as your walk can be as leisurely or intense as you like, with a great variation in the scenery and the landscape. too. The steep forested hillsides hide traditional villages and pristine streams and for the nature lover, the forests and meadows are full of flowers, butterflies, birds, mammals, amphibians and other wildlife. The mountains are best reached from Cluj-napoca, where you can travel by car or train to Huedin before heading south into the hills. The roads can be narrow and bumpy at times and shops and amenities are few and far between. Most villages usually have at least one small shop or car/cafe. I found walking here to be incredibly peaceful and would recommend it to anyone who loves the outdoors.

ExitGames Timisoara

A reality adventure game where a team of players (2 to 6 people) has to escape a locked room by solving different puzzles and mysteries using the clues found in the room in 60 minutes. To succeed, the team needs to have good communication between its members. Our game designs are specifically based on certain discoveries in the area of psychology, the goal is to achieve a high level of player immersion in the game so that the participants may reach the so-called FLOW state. That certain mental state, when people are so absorbed by an activity that nothing else seems to bother them; that experience itself is so pleasant that the people will try to repeat it no matter what, just for the sake of the doing it” - Mihály Csikszentmihályi researcher in the field of psychology, who first defined the FLOW concept

We played the Tesla room and had a lot of fun. We actually found the room kind of hard but the game master was very nice and gave us some extra helpful hints. We managed to escape at the very last minute. The puzzles are well built and very fun. You should definitely try the room.
