Downtown Bucharest Easy Hotel

Reviewed By NostraVitaWinery

Great location in downtown Bucharest providing access to all of the night life in Bucharest Old Town. The rooms vary greatly. We stayed here three separate nights; one night our room faced beautiful architecture outside; one night we were facing an inner courtyard; and the last night we just faced a wall. Clean rooms; they don't have lotion, but they have shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Always busy and filled with tourists. The staff is helpful and friendly. They were happy to hold our bags downstairs until we were ready to leave. There is no parking in front of the hotel, but everyone puts their hazard lights on to unload their bags.

It was ok

Stayerd 4 nights while in Brasov visiting my daughter Positives 1. very clean and in decent decorative condition 2. Close to the old town - a 3-4 minute walk to the old city walls 3. Has SOME parking. City centre parking in Brasov is very challenging and ths hotel has enough spaces to accommodate maybe half of its guests. Great if you get a space, frustrating if you don't 4. OK buffet breakfast, though I would have liked some fruit salad.. only loose fruit available Negatives 1. Front of house staff were variable.. one was very helpful and engaging, others were not that helpful. For example no bottle opener in my room for mini-bar and they would not provide one... I had to go to reception to use theirs 2. Beds are VERY firm 3. My room was too warm. The hotel is too close to a fairly busy road for me to sleep with the windows open. There is airconditioning but I was told it was not switched on centrally as it was not yet warm enough... and they woudl not switch it on for me

Easy reach to shops and bars

Another city visit means a hotel central to what is around. The staff are so polite and friendly. and made us feel welcome. We had a family suite which was a free upgrade. Which was nice. All very clean and well maintained. The safe in the room is one that you can set to your own code. A lift serves all floors including the basement breakfast room. No other meals are available , which is a shame. The room had a mini bar which was handy for beers bought from the nearby Mega Image supermarket. ( for when the bar was closed ) Adele was kept busy, ( with a smile ) during our visit. Not much in the way of tourist info to hand, that is not the hotels fault, but we did get a local map from the reception. The breakfast option was booked because there didn't seem to be a cafe open early in the area. Bacon and normal sausages would have been better but there were enough other choices. This will another place to stay on next trip

We stayed at Novotel for my son's birthday -- what a wonderful experience! From the first until the last staff member we met, everyone made our stay simply unique. My son had a blast for this birthday, and my wife and I never felt better. The team at the Winestone bar is amazing! Monica, Irina, Sorin, Georgiana, Ionut, Catalin & Cristi are the best! The hotel is centrally located, steps away from the old city and close to all the main places to visit. It is also easily reachable by car, metro, or bus. The room is clean, the size just perfect, and you have all the amenities you need. The breakfast offers you a wide selection for all tastes. We'll definitely return.

For the price potentially stay elsewhere

Reviewed By 995aislingr

I really wanted to rate this higher as it's a cool hotel and the decor downstairs is great and we paid more for a room with a balcony which was nice BUT the room is very small, there is no wardrobe, no tea or coffee and you don't event get water (!) - you have to buy it downstairs therefore it is a very very budget option. It wasn't the most comfortable for two friends sharing being small without wardrobes. The music from the old town is insanely loud so I definitely wouldn't book if you were a light sleeper. They did give me ear plugs but I kept waking up all night as it goes on til probably 3 or 4am. The breakfast is also pretty pricey and super basic. I really wanted to like it more but if you're looking for a more comfortable stay I would probably stay elsewhere.

We enjoyed very much our stay at Vila Camelia. Beautiful house, with a vintage air, with a beautiful living room and a very large chimney, large and clean rooms and also clean bathrooms and a very nice restaurant with a diversity of dishes. It's a 5 minute walk to the city center and very close to the atractions that Sinaia has to offer. The staff was very nice and polite. If you want an incredible experience, Vila Camelia is the place to stay. We will definitely return.

Highly recommended for Old Town Bucharest

We liked this very much. Great old town location. Rooms are spacious-- room #21. Small hotel. Not fancy. Staff was great, helped with transportation, COVID testing and restaurant on Easter when most things were closed. We're seasoned travelers and advice still helpful and appreciated. Recommend to eat breakfast next door at Cafe VanGogh which was very good.

Things to note: 1) the hotel has two sides- one is renovated and decent , the other is old and creepy and dirty. If you don’t know this, they automatically give the old rooms. I’m not sure when I’ve seen a grosser pillow, carpet or shower. We were able to change rooms after we discovered that 1/2 the hotel was renovated. Even in renovated room no wifi, AC was broken and phone didn’t work. 2)the spa was absolutely packed with people and super loud. 3) we had 50 minute deep tissue massages that were very mediocre- we didn’t feel like the people had any training or experience and wasn’t worth the money. Overall, super mediocre and overpriced
