Visited Houdini’s in the evening at the beginning of December. Broadstairs was fairly quiet when we went for a meal and had a look at a few other bars along the high street. But Houdini’s had a fair few people in and a great atmosphere. So we’re pleased that we decided to spend our evening here. There was a fantastic magician walking around doing card tricks and he then later done a show. Through the night there was a compere doing competitions and telling jokes. The bar staff was also very friendly and told us the history about the cranberry gin we were drinking. Me and my partner like to look for niche and different bars. And we will definitely be returning to Houdini’s.

This was our first ever escape room experience (me and my 10 year old son) so we chose to do "Pirates of the Polaris" Our captain was absolutely fantastic, welcoming, professional and incredibly charming, and we had great fun solving the really intricate puzzles and rooms. Very immersive and I would recommend to anyone. Hoping to come back and do "The Pit" on our next adventure.

Absolutely the most enjoyable thing we have done this year, so far as outdoor activities go! We took Torra, the Harris's Hawk for a walk/fly with Finn and someone else - sorry far too distracted by the beautiful birds to catch his name. Really knowledgeable about the birds and chatted with us all the way. Torra ws flying around beside us and landing on our gloves really often for 'treats'. It was amazing to handle such an amazing bird. We both loved it and I'm sure we will be repeating the experience. The birds are amazingly well cared for and Falconry SE are a pleasure to deal with too. Sad I could only award 5 stars.

We did the Detention room today (sadly it is closing soon) for our second visit to Ctrl Alt Esc and as with our last visit, found it to be a fantastic room. I like how their rooms here are 90 minutes long which means that there are lots of puzzles to solve. The detention room was a great setting and everything worked perfectly in the room. There was a good range of puzzles and the soundtrack to the room was particularly amusing, without being too loud or intrusive. Cat was a brilliant GM, full of passion and excitement, who was reserved with her hint giving, allowing us time to work things out for ourselves rather than jumping in with clues immediately. It was also great to talk to her afterwards and share escape room experiences - it does make such a difference when the GM has done lots of rooms themselves and knows what makes a good GM. Overall, for a small independent family run business, they offer some fantastic rooms that provide lots of entertainment.

Manston Hanger 10 and Polar Helicopters. A great way to spend some time by having a go at flying a helicopter. All the staff there are very helpful, the instructor pilot was excellent at talking through the functions of the helicopter and then when safely airborne and under his constant watchful eye, you have control! There's no doubt about it, it's a brilliant way to put a great big smile on your face.

The Bank Job Broadstairs

Broadstairs' first escape room! On the corner of 42 High Street Broadstairs, there’s a bank with a security system unlike any we’ve ever seen before. Tunnelings out of the question and there’ll be no Mission Impossible dangling like puppets neither. We’re looking for an elite group of people to put themselves forward for the biggest heist in Kent’s history. Gangs of 2 to 5 (peak times may be reserved for larger group bookings) Based at The Counting House Bar

Reviewed By stevewilson1989 - Maidstone, United Kingdom

Unlike other "escape" rooms, the aim of this game is to break into a diamond vault. The setup was extremely professional and totally immersive - it definitely helped that you were in the vault of a former bank. The props were so life-like and solidily built. Everyone in our group loved the experience and we would definitely recommend traveling to Broadstairs just to experience this game.
