Semiramis Spa is a grand place to get a massage in Cairo, Egypt. It is, unequivocally a refuge from this intense and, at times, overwhelming city. One starts in the relaxation room where the “massagee” (one who get the massage) gets to rest and look at a lovely garden usually bathed in sunlight. Then the masseuse arrives and calls to the person getting the one who will be massaged into a massage room... lovely and light perfumes and scents of Sandalwood and flowers are burned all over the spa giving a wonderful ambiance to the pre-massage. And then the massage! Amazing. For between 55 and 85 min the highly trained and experience masseuse works on whatever you need her to work on. You moderate and decide how hard or soft of a massage you want. The room smells wonderful. The scented oil is heated and great! And after? After you are like a new person, ready for the rest of the day. After the one who was just massaged sits in a new room covered in towels and rests for another hour, possibly going into a full steam room, sauna or Jacuzzi. I have not seen another place as good as this in all of Cairo! Go and enjoy! :)
