Saxony-Anhalt (German: Sachsen-Anhalt, pronounced [ˌzaksn̩ ˈʔanhalt]) is a landlocked federal state of Germany surrounded by the federal states of Lower Saxony, Brandenburg, Saxony and Thuringia. With a casual interest in aircraft and wartime history I found this museum fascinating. Junkers's background as a gas engineer and his development of the domestic water heater were a surprise, as was leaning of his death before his aircraft designs were used in WW2. The collection of old Soviet aircraft outside was a surprise bonus. My visit was actually in 2016.

It is time to preserve good and, of course, negative things, stories and circumstances for posterity and to convey these experiences to young people and guests who are not familiar with everyday life in 40 years of the GDR.

This was a cute little museum attached to the factory and a chocolate shop which had free samples! It will take about 45 min - 90 min to go through the whole place.
