The trail leading to the observatory starts from the Youth Center. A short walk to the pavilion (and the cliff edge) is rewarded with the panoramic views of the whole Aharen beach / Hanari island area. One can also have a good view of the secluded beaches to the north. (The trail leading to those beaches is by the foothill of the observatory. ) In my humble opinion, this observatory is a must-see for the Aharen area. Allocate a min. of 30min for the observatory itself, and additional 1-2 hours for the secluded beaches to the north.
