Lima Region (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈlima]) is located in the central coast of the country, its regional seat (capital city) is Huacho. Lima Province, which contains the city of Lima, the country's capital, is located west of the Lima Region; this province is autonomous and not under the jurisdiction of the Regional Government.

I consider myself well traveled, but have never had a shopping experience like this. Must be experienced. Walled shopping area must take up several city blocks. Best part is the fresh food market Huge. Fruits, spices, vegetables- all fresh and displayed with pride. Meat and fish market were best in class! No smell, no mess. Every vendor proudly displaying what they sell. Don’t miss this market
