The most stunning small bays. Great for a fossick and just absorbing the natural world. The colours and shapes of the rocks and the water are beyond description.

What a great walk, up and down the streets, beautiful architecture, like stepping back in time. The house’s we’re stunning, very worthwhile if one is interested in this period of buildings.

The Bridport Walking Track is a circuit, multinature walk that links the foreshore, beaches, the Wildflower Reserve, grasslands, ancient forests and the Brid River. The walk is within close proximity to the village of Bridport thereby creating a single accessible and unique walking experience of significant natural beauty. This is a special unforgettable place for all to experience.
Starting with the 1-hour return pretty flat foreshore walk - really beautiful and plenty of rest spots and restrooms. Every day of the four we stayed, Bridport just kept on getting better! It has plenty of dining options, including buy some local scallops and cook your own. We can recommend the Bunker bistro, attached to the RSL, but check as it’s not open every night. Good coverage for Telstra and Optus and TV is good also. Plenty of local supermarkets (IGA), good price petrol, newsagent, bottle shop, wonderful wineries such as Piper’s Brook 20 mins away, and even a bakery (closed Monday) all within an hour of Launceston. Great views, walks, swimming (December), camping spots and lots and lots of air-bnbs, stayz etc. Unfortunately, this is the one area our group – 3 couples who each booked somewhere independently – agree, the accommodation is not 100% what you would expect from the advertising or the price, so beware! I must add that we were there for a boys’ golf trip, so better mention the golf! Plenty of courses nearby, from the Bridport public course to the two at Barnbougle, to another one at Tomahawk. The boys report they are all excellent. Barnbougle Dunes and Lost Farm links are very special, and you do need to book ahead as it’s very popular and well worth the planning.

Almost every day we walked through or around this beautiful park in Hobart. Each week we experienced the trees and flowers blooming. Very well located near Salamanca Square, Parliament House and a five minute walk from downtown Hobart.

Sheffield is a lovely town in Tasmania and well worth a visit even without its murals. Add in the plethora of murals and it becomes a must see. The size, range and high quality of the many murals is incredible. Don't expect to breeze in and out as there is too much to see and do here.

Fairly easy 5Km return trip with some great views. Must do on sunny day because of the rock colours and the extensive views. Follow up with a swim at trousers point which is well equipped with tables, BBQ and toilets

Following the Marshall Bay track just after the unsealed section of road starts, will send you out to Castle Rock- a massive granite boulder on the beach. There are interesting geological rock formations to explore and the spot is popular with photographers.

Horsetail Falls is located between Queenstown and Gormanston. The walk up to the viewing platform is nice. However, the secret is to keep going off the walkway on the hidden track to the top of the waterfall.

We loved our trip to cataract gorge, the children loved the chair lift and my wife and I enjoyed the stunnning bridge. The playground is fantastic albeit a bit dangerous - one at a time on the “mouse wheel” and take it slow... we left with a bleeding child, a bruised child and a child’s pair of brand new $250 glasses smashed to pieces - an expensive day out! Water play area is fun There’s a pool but we couldn’t imagine it getting much use being such a cool area Don’t forget to pay for parking Great parks to explore Keep an eye out for the wildlife such as wallabies, peacocks etc The inclinator was a fun experience too

If you are in the CBD this is good place for a walk. You can start out in town, walk down to Salamanca, then go round past the MACQ01 hotel, walk along the road and then cross over the bridge before reaching the aquatic centre. A nice circuit for lunchtime exercise!
