Jungle Mania

Jungle Mania is an indoor soft play facility for children ages 12 and under, which provides a safe indoor environment for children to play and burn off energy! Our play facility provides over 2000 square feet of jungle themed play space with climbs, slides, tubes, crawls, mazes and much more!

What a place to bring the nephews to tire them out! A great space to let them run out their energy, tumble around and get inside when the weather isn't conducive to outside play time. We trust the owners implicitly: they keep the playground SUPER clean, so we know that our nephews are safe when we bring them to visit. A fabulous space to have in our community for those days when the kids are feeling cooped up inside.

Davison Orchards Country Village

Growing food & family memories since 1933! At Davison Orchards, you get fresh, local produce grown right here in Vernon, BC. And we don't just grow it - we use the ingredients in our bakery and cafe to make the most delicious farm food you've ever tasted. Everything we grow is available to you right here on the farm. We invite you to be part of the story of your food from start to finish. You can see the crops growing, the fruit being picked, and the apples being peeled for our famous apple pie. Because our family has been running this farm for over 80 years, we want your whole family to enjoy their time here. There is something for everyone and we hope you'll make your own happy memories and traditions. Davison Orchards is open daily, from May 1 - October 31.

We go to the apple rest and pumpkin patch, so fun, riding the tracker to pick a pumpkin or apples. So much for the kids to do from petting and feeding animals to climbing and sliding. Lunch in the cafe is always good, with homemade apple juice, pies soups and more. They also have a market and sell their produce.

Bowen Park

Bowen Park is a very large centrally located expanse of land in the heart of Nanaimo, BC. There are many recreational buildings on the property, including a pool. The Millstone River runs through the entire park. A lovely waterfall is located close to a convenient parking area. In the winter and spring, the waterfall provides a wonderful and nearby opportunity for long exposure photography. It's a great way to perfect your techniques, learn about using filters and manual mode photography.
