Only problem was the 'beach', as there is the main road with heavy traffic between the Pension and the 'beach'. Also we did not know that the 'beach' isself is justa very narrow and small strip, hardly to find space when many people are there. Also no space at the beach for children.

Best Location
Reviewed By AerailleWe had a side room with a balcony, and not much of a view. The room was spacious and included a kitchenette and dining area. The beds were very comfortable. It was on the top floor and a bit of a trek with the suitcases. Fortunately we were allowed to park at the back which made it easier. Although there were kitchen utensils we were not provided with cleaning materials which made it difficult if you wanted to eat something in the room. The WiFi instructions in the room booklet were out of date and we had to get help to connect each time we moved from the premises. We were only supplied with one toilet roll which was not replenished and we had to ask for another. There is only a bath with a hand shower, so one cannot stand under the shower. The staff were courteous and greeted us but the owner seemed to feel she was above that and walked around with a haughty attitude. The restaurant is extremely busy during the day, and has a very cosy and traditional atmosphere, however we had constant strong smells from the kitchen all day in the room. The terrace is wonderful with the extensive view which is out of this world. pricing is on the high side as can be expected from a venue in this position.

Not friendly and noisy

The promised space for our bicyles did not exist. We had to park the bikes in the small hallway, a nuisance for all guests. A lot of noise from outside : the road and railway. A lot of noise from inside : tv and voices of other guests could be heard. Our toilet seat was broken, this was not fixed during our 2 day stay No wifi in our room, only in the hallway sitting on the stairs.

Reviewed By pete081Stayed one night...room a bit basic but functional. Decor tired but overall it was a fair price for the accommodation. Nice verandah bar area for a drink..shame there are smokers about. Sleep quality okay...parking outside in street a bit hit and miss but safe.

Reviewed By Matija86The room was very clean and tidy. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood and you can relax and enjoy the twitter of birds and the beauty of the landscape. It also has a private beach on Lake Vorthersee. It is perfect for families with children because it offers a lot of content and activities, both in the open and in the interior. Breakfast was great.

Nice welcome, and great stay
Reviewed By KalanguBUDBCNI stayed at this small hotel for 3 nights, and it was all lovely. Margit and Vittorio made me feel welcome, and gave me lots of information about the area. The room was nice overlooking the pool and the garden, and the breakfast was great too. The walk to the center of Velden was about 10 minutes, so the hotel is really close to everything. All this excellent value for money, and I do recommend this lovely hotel.

The village is nicely quiet with a selection of restaurants both walkable and just a few minutes drive away, perfect for families and couples. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and provided a lovely breakfast every morning including freshly baked cakes. Would highly recommend.

Reviewed By 124elisabethdSeit Jahren kommen wir gerne hier her, denn hier ist die Herzlichkeit zu Hause. Die Zimmer sind alle mit Balkon ausgestattet und sauber. Das Frühstücks Buffett lässt keine Wünsche offen, wenn doch, werden auch diese erfüllt. Der See ist zu Fuß zu erreichen und mit seinen Temperaturen ein richtiger Badegenuss. Für Bergfreunde ist die nahe gelegene Petzen ein absolutes muss. Mountainbiker kommen hier genau so auf ihre Rechnung, wie Wanderer oder Spaziergeher. Am Abend lässt man es sich am besten bei einem Plausch auf der gemütlichen und geräumigen Terrasse gut gehen. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch.
