Cae Hic Livery & Riding Centre

We are a small family run fully approved BHS Livery & Riding Centre set in the gorgeous countryside of North Wales within easy access of Chester, Wrexham, Mold & surrounding areas. We have over 20 years experience of working with horses & ponies and what began as a hobby has now become a full time way of life. Our very experienced chief instructor is qualified to NVQ, Diploma and BHSAI standard. We also have fully Qualified experienced medical staff and first aiders on site. No Matter what the weather is doing we can always ride as we have an indoor 20m x 45m indoor riding arena with viewing area. We offer something for everyone from the novice rider who is looking to start their horse riding journey to the experienced competition riders - we have ponies and horses suitable for all abilities, ages and sizes. We have childrens clubs suitable for children aged 2 years plus and a maximum weight limit of 16 stone. We have fantastic bridlepaths and hacking on our doorstep along with the horseshoe pass 10 minutes away which offers varied hacks for all. All hacks are accompanied by one of our experienced leaders who have hacked the routes many times and can let you know all about them. All of our ponies and horses have their own stable and share a paddock with their friends and you are welcome to come along and see them before you book any lessons. We tailor our lessons to your requirements and consult with you all the way to make sure you are achieving the aims you wish to set, from just walking to completing the jumping course in our jumping paddock - the possibilities are endless!!

My sister and I are accomplished riders and decided we would like to go for a hack. Phoned these guys at short notice and they were able to accommodate us. Sarah took us out for an hour and we had a lovely ride on two wonderful horses. The scenery is a bonus too. They also have an indoor riding school.

Nercwys Forest

If you venture off the beaten paths here - starting at the corner through the style you are treated to some lovely hidden paths. Nothing wrong with the bigger paths but I prefer wandering through the older parts of the woods where the trees are closer together and the path less obvious.

Old Padeswood Golf Club

Reviewed By G2011TUandreww - Wallasey, United Kingdom

I played here yesterday for the first time and had a thoroughly enjoyable day at the club. Right from the off the staff members in the clubhouse were fantastic and very friendly (ladies you are a credit to your golf club). I ordered food , steak and chips and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. On the course things went down hill a little, not with the course but with my golf. The course was in very good condition and testing. The greans were fantastic and run true with the odd cup like an upturned saucer. Back to the clubhouse at the end for a coffee and the friendliness of staff and members continued. I had a fantastic day here and will be highly recommending this club as a venue for my golf society. Thank you Old Padeswood for a great day.

Talacre Beach

Reviewed By 326laylas - Staffordshire, United Kingdom

We stopped in a caravan park only 6 mins away from the Beach. The Beach was fairly quite, not overcrowded and lots of space. It was clean and well looked after. We even did nice a walk through the sand dunes a few times. Just by the Beach three is a chip shop, a bakery, resturant, ice cream shop and a souvenir shop with the usual bucket and spade etc. Talacre beach feels like a secret hidden treasure... so beautiful and peaceful too.
