This was a very fun and interesting 90 minute walk, I got a lot of different facts and saw things that I didn’t see before in Rochdale town centre. Definitely recommend to others .

Without roller derby for the foreseeable, I wanted to learn some basics on a skateboard to get back on wheels and learn something new. I did some 1-1 coaching and then an adult coached session also. All were fantastic and really well pitched to suit me. Can’t recommend the coaching there enough. I’d also highlight that I was quite nervous about being out and around people again after all the lockdown/isolation and coaches (David and Vic) were both really patient and supportive around this. I felt I could be a total beginner in a supportive space and other people attending the adult coached session were really warm and friendly too. I’d definitely go back when lockdown restrictions allow and would recommend it to others.

We visited to watch the national championships this year and enjoyed the Saturday night session, having never seen it live, we thought that we would try it. The only issue could be parking but on this occasion, we parked a short walk away on Manchester Citys Etihad stadium car park. This whetted my appetite and I decided to sign up for a taster session as a birthday treat in March 2020, again, had a great day and had booked another session but due to the Covid 19 situation, all activities were suspended. It's easy to find fault with most things if you look hard enough, I can only say that in my experiences at the Velodrome, everything that I experienced was good, from the reception staff, security, car park attendants, the coach and cafe staff, all helped us have a fantastic time, what seemed to come across was that they all seemed happy in their respective roles and proud of what they do. Hopefully I can come back soon and start my post lockdown accreditation plan.

I love levy market, I pop down every so often as live nearby. It's not as big as the maker's market or other pop ups you may get in and around Manchester but if you want an hour or two of pleasant vibes and interesting stalls pop down. There is usually around 4-5 food stalls selling an array of street food and stalls; from cheese, wine, prints and clothing.

Discovered the clough during the covid pandemic because I couldn't travel out of the area and I wanted to go somewhere nice for our daily walk. I ran cross country in the clough for my school when I was 14 and until recently it's been 45 years since I visited here and I'm so glad I did... It's a hidden gem of Manchester full of beauty and character. You can stroll along the paths or get right into the woods on well trodden paths. There's a large pond with Canadian geese and ducks plus loads of other birds including the illusive heron and kingfisher.. Loads of squirrels so take them some nice treats. It's a great place for dog walkers (makes me wish I had one) I'll continue to walk here during covid and afterwards I love it.

Went to a gold Party on 24th November. The two staff members was excellent, and the women behind the desk was really nice and approachable. But I'd like to give a special mention to the lad who seemed in charge of party games. My daughter felt left out and he took the time to dance with her and made her want to join in the dancing and was then really nice to her from that moment to the moment we left. He was so nice and pleasant and was brilliant. Both staff members were well trained and definitely deserve any praise
