Museo de la Vid y el Vino

Certainly one of the best Wine Museums I have had the good fortune to view. Indeed this was our second visit in 4 years. A BUCKET LIST location if you like wine. Kudos to the designer. There is a small fee to enter ..Foreign seniors no discount this time. Allow yourself at least 30+ minutes to view the exhibits in each section. The first gives one of the most comprehensive informative presentation on the various characteristic that makes this a world class wine growing area. The second part take you on another visual and verbal ( written Spanish and English ) tour of the early history of various vineyards and the processes. A Must Visit in Cafayate... and just a few minutes walk down from the main Plaza.

Hard to get to but absolutely worth a visit. You must stay at the Estancia / Bodega Colome - not to be missed. In fact I don't know how you could see the famed skyspace at dusk and make it to anywhere else without staying here

Museo Guemes

Reviewed By travellingjacko - York, United Kingdom

Sort just stumbled upon the museum with some time in our hands. The museum is very interactive with projected videos explaining the life and events of Guemes’ life we didn’t know anything about the war of independence but it was very enlightening. We got given a scripture for the displays in English, which was very helpful though most of the videos had subtitles. Staff were nice and the toilets were clean I think we were there for about a hour there is also a nice gift shop
