The Box

The Box is temporarily closed but is planning to re-open on Tuesday 18 May. Tickets will be available to book from mid-April. The Box is Plymouth’s major new museum, art gallery and archive. A place where the city’s heritage meets contemporary art; where archives meet interaction; and where the Mayflower meets a mammoth. It's also home to The Box Kitchen & Bar, a shop, education and research spaces.

Radiant

Radiant is a gallery and events venue in the heart of Plymouth, by Effervescent. We are a laboratory for art + people, trying to make the world a happier place. The gallery is programmed by different groups of local young people, who have, through an intensive yet fun process, found what it is they want to express via the exhibitions. The exhibitions are selected by the group from a world-wide open call to artists, at any stage in their career. In this way, the young people are 9we hope) empowered, creating shows, rather than just being passive consumers.
