In November 2019 I had a tour with Julio, and now I can say that it was my best sightseeing tour in the year. Julio is a nice guide/buddy, and this tour is very well organized. Julio picked me up by calling me to my room at the hotel front desk exactly at 9:00AM. During the tour we saw many places of Lima, including the local market, the historic center, Parque de la Muralla and Barranco District. Julio knows every aspect of Lima transportation system, so we were able to move between important places quickly and without traffic jams. The tour took 4 hours, and they were action-packed hours. You won't be able to finish early and in fact you will be a little exhausted after the tour. I recommend that you take this particular sightseeing tour and another tour outside of Lima. While this is a good tour, there is a lot places you need to see outside of Lima in Peru.

We decided to visit the Nazca Lines and Ballestas Islands on a relatively short notice. In spite of this, Derwis and Vilma took action and made all the reservations within 24 hours, and communicated with us constantly to make sure we knew what was going on at all times. The trip was well-organized and everything went according to the itinerary. Paracas, where we stayed, is a beautiful city. At night we dined at some of the restaurants by the seaside and enjoyed relaxing and pleasant views and walks. The food was superb too! Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this memorable experience! - Hannah and Juan.

I came here in July 2019 travelling alone around Peru. I wanted to experience the Amazon jungle but was on a reasonably tight time schedule (3 weeks) so couldn't stay for too long. I found the experience to be one of the highlights of my trip and met some great people too. I actually ended up staying for 2 nights/3 days which I would recommend as 1 night simply isn't enough. I found the experience to be authentic and our tour guide was really knowledgeable about the forest and the animals there. The whole thing feels flexible which suited me, with the guide offering us a range of activities which we could do during the mornings and afternoons. We got to complete jungle treks, swim in the river with dolphins, visit local animal sanctuary's and even visit some local tribes. I would definitely recommend this for anyone travelling to Peru who wants to see the rainforest but who might not necessarily have the time/funds to complete a longer expedition. I am a 25 year old male.

An excellent way to visit and explore the Amazon rainforest in a safe and secure setting. The lodge gave you a great feel to how the locals live. All beds have mosquito nets, rooms have all your basic amenities such as wardrobes, toilet, shower and balcony. The showers are cold but you’ll appreciate that in the humid environment! The food provided by the lodge was fantastic. It’s all sourced locally and is very healthy. We ate different kinds of fish with fresh vegetables such as plantain. The tours were structured very well to allow you enough free time to relax after a long day exploring! We saw pink & grey river dolphins, sloths, an anaconda, many kinds of monkeys, peiche fish and many more. We fished for piranha and cooked them for dinner. Overall if you’re a nature fan and don’t mind living without an internet connection for a few days this tour is definitely for you! Our guide Alejandro was brilliant. This trip was easily my best experience during our visit to the Peruvian Amazon. The location of the eco-lodges is absolutely stunning, being both completely surrounded by rainforest and waterways. There is even a small and isolated village nearby where you can acquaint yourself with some of the locals. If you decide to visit the village, I recommend you try some of the locally made liquors and that you stock up for the duration of your stay. Our guide, who went by Edwin, was a wonderful person to experience the trip with. He made sure that we were well taken care of and his knowledge of the jungle and its inhabitants was extensive, to put it lightly. The rest of the staff we got acquainted with were all super friendly and always made us feel welcome. Every excursion was a trip to remember. At no point were any of us bored with the itinerary we were provided with. I do however have to point out that the included activities are not for the faint of heart, as we were constantly exposed to dangerous flora and fauna. To us however, this was what made our trips into the jungle so authentic and profound. The eco-lodges are simple, but provide you with electricity, cold showers (which is all you'll want due to the extreme heat) and shelter from mosquitoes. There is a large main hall where people get their water from, as well as where large groups gather to eat, socialize and generally have a good time. However, there is no wifi anywhere. So if that matters to you, now you know. The food was delicious. They even provided my brother with vegetarian dishes to accommodate his diet. Also, if you go fishing for piranhas they'll cook one that you've caught for you to try. Summarized; For anyone looking to experience the Amazon Rainforest at its most authentic, this is the way to do it. Though you'll have to decide for yourself if you or anyone coming with you can cope with the dangers inherent to such an expedition.

We did 2 nights, 3 days Amazon experience at Muyuna lodge. This includes airport pick up, stopping at their office in Iquitos, choosing the gum boots and speed boat transport to the lodge. Since our plane was running late, they even made sandwiches for us and fed us during the boat ride. You have to bring a smaller bag and leave the rest of your luggage in their office as the water level is low in dry season and the boat shouldn't be loaded with heavy suitcases. The ride takes 3 hours. The lodge is amazing. The rooms are very spacious and protected with netting. All the meals were very tasty and we had different dishes every day. The excursions were fantastic, some on land, some by boat. Our guide Alain was very knowlegable about the plants and animals of the rainforest. He was able to spot them even in the dark! It was an amazing experience.
