Locanda Il Gigante

Magnifico

Reviewed By Christopher P

Not a word of English, we two words Italian. The girl used her telephone, spoke the menu into it, and showed us the written text. In Italian. Fun, but easier to grasp. So she had tagliatelle with spinach, I had filled with potato purée, and smothered in a nice meat sauce (ragout). We ate well, all were helpful and super friendly, good red wine, super. The place is also a B&B (room and breakfast). Highly recommended.

A very friendly agraturismo

We stayed in the Locanda Casa Motta for 3 nights. The room was large and very pleasant. They have a good restaurant on the first floor in which we ate every evening. Make sure you order the seat at the restaurant on the internet which will award you 20% discount The owner was very pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed our stay there. Yona S.

Great pit stop place

Reviewed By AndreVidalPinheiro

On our way to Firenze we made a pit stop here for the night. The room was decent-sized and lovely decor. Everything squeaky-clean. You do have to climb up a flight of stairs (no lift) so happy we were packing light. A couple of not so good things like thin walls that were unable to quash down the noise from our rowdy neighbors, and a pet peeve of mine, the ubiquitous 2:1 shampoo/ shower gel. My better half found the mattress too soft but wasn’t too much of a problem for me. The breakfast was ok, a pastry + coffee/juice at the coffee shop next door. Overall good value for the money for a quick night layover.

Not a serious hotel!

Reviewed By vagerud

The hotel is not a serious business but the hotel owner does what she wants and cancel reservations! We had camp there last year and booked this year as well. The food was good and it was fresh. Rooms responsive but good standard. We checked that everything was booked this year and we started selling the camp (Fixed websites and made advertisements) and received registrations to the camp. Then we find out that the hotel owner booked in another group and we couldn't come, the reason was that it was easier for her as the other group just wanted outdoor court. When I contact here she dont apply at the mail! When we had a meeting for the first year, the hotel owner made no note and she had forgotten things, didn't remember what we came up with. When you mail, you do not get an answer or take very long time. If you want a camp where so is the accommodation and everything good but it is not possible to trust the owner and difficult to build anything in the long term. the staff was good and the service good. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same about the owner.
