Stayed here at the beginning of March, 2020. A little hotel in the heart of Old Lviv. Pretty room, nice staff. Good view from the window. The only disappointing thing was bad sound insulation. So, we heard everything that happened in another room.

Arrived here on the 7th. Asked the reception where in town they were showing the city. Was told "here!" Great I thought. Went downstairs and was met by a surly, arrogant and obnoxious young man (Dmitros) in the cafe that seemed to be upset that I wanted serving with drinks and food. I asked if there was football on tv. He rolled his eyes and said, "I don't know but I'll see." He went away and began 'mixing' with his other Ukrainian friends that had just entered the bar. I waited for 30 minutes and as I walked past him he remarked, "Theres no football on this television". Ever time I entered the cafe, whether it was for a drink or something to eat, he seemed very put out that I was there. Rolling his eyes, sullen demeanour and generally not a nice vibe. He gave me a menu in Ukrainian that was no use to me even though he knew I spoke English! Just a very rude person. However, the were staff there that was very helpful and a positive mention is for Olia (thank you for the taxi) and Rianna (thank you for the smiles in the morning and the information about the city). The location is fantastic although it's on a main thoroughfare to the city centre and can get busy and quite noisy at 6am. Tram stop number two is across the road that takes you into town and it's quite easy to get to the airport (Tram 2 then bus 9 and vice versa). Overall a pleasant stay in Lviv albeit for Dmitros and his arrogant ways.

Avoid if you want rest!

Reviewed By Josh T

First of all.... this place is offered as a Hotel not a Hostel. However, it is run like a Hostel. Liviv Livid is an amazing place! If you’re on the fence about visiting, GO FOR IT!! However, I would highly recommend not staying at this hotel. The rooms are decent, price is good, and it is a great location, but the management is very sub par. We booked a room on the 3rd floor. All was good until the people in the next room moved in. They were very loud. After listening to them getting drunk and carrying on for hours, I decided to call the front desk. The desk clerk came upstairs and made an attempt to quiet them down. They disregarded his request and continued their drunken party. An hour later, I called back and the desk clerk didn’t answer. Neither my girlfriend nor I was able to get much sleep. The next morning, I decided to book the final 2 nights of our vacation at a different hotel. I went to the front desk and informed him of the plans and he said nothing. No facial expression change, no sign of remorse.... he didn’t care at all. I asked that the remaining 2 nights be refunded. The front desk clerk rudely replied “No. No refund. You don’t like? You can leave. Due to the fact that I had to pay in full in cash upfront, I didn’t really have a leg to stand on. I figured maybe there was a language barrier misunderstanding, so I had my girlfriend explain the situation again. The desk clerk cut her off mid sentence and said “I understand what you said and I don’t care! No refund means no refund!” I gave him one last chance to remedy the situation informing him that a negative review would be left, and he replied “I don’t care. Leave your review.” So the purpose of this review is to inform others about this place. If you are looking to party and be loud till 3:30 AM without consequence, then this is the place for you. If you want to rest at night or have little kiddos, I would avoid this place at all costs.

Very nice, polite and friendly staff. Despite the fact that we arrived late, we drove only at 2 am, the administrator waited and was very polite. At the receptionist you can take a very good hair dryer (though a little dirty, the filter in a hair dryer has not been cleaned for a long time). The room has a balcony. The room has a refrigerator with sweet water, alcohol and sweets. Very uncomfortable mattress by the bed, very protruding springs. The shower cabin in the bathroom is in poor condition. One of the stall doors constantly jumps, it was impossible to fix the showerhead in the right position - the lock was is broken (only one position is up). The walls in the bathroom were poorly cleaned (there were a lot of hair glued to the tile). The room has a refrigerator but there is no drinking water (only sweet or alcohol).
