I was lucky finding this place. You can tell right away the private owners care about there guests. Good communication and fair prices. Very convenient location! Spotless clean, very comfy beds. I choose the bigger suite with a kitchenette. I didn't regret and I will be back. I highly recommend this place - you won't be disappointed.

Arrow Lake Motel

Arrow Lake Motel has been proudly owned by Ken and Liz Feiffer for four years. We are located in Fauquier, British Columbia, right off the Needles Ferry. It is a newly renovated motel which includes eleven air-conditioned rooms, five in which are kitchenettes.

The Best Motel EVER

Reviewed By MartinPrestage

We were 4 mature men on a road trip around Southern BC. Had expected to stop in Nakusp but when the choices seemed limited we headed south to Fauquier. What a find. The Arrow Lake Motel is the best individual motel I've ever stayed in. Really nice clean and large rooms, a well provisioned kitchenette, nice external areas with lounge chairs and several barbecues, even a covered firepit area. Liz and Ken were perfect hosts. Their place is clearly the centre of small Fauquier. Canoeing and kayaking in Arrow Lake was the best of our whole trip. Even saw a cow moose just down the road. I'll be back in a heartbeat. Great value for money too.

Emerald Lake Lodge

Amazing place but looking tired

Reviewed By veyges1

The lodge has existed for a hundred years, but rooms and exteriors need renewal; the ramp to the main Hotel entrance had anti-slip strips peeling off, and on the balcony of our room (274) the surface was likewise peeling. The carpet in the room needed replacing, and the grey-green interior decor adds a rather sombre faded look. Check in at 4pm and check out at 11am means that any booking is only valid for 19 hours of the day, which is a 20% cut out of the day! The shuttle service to the overnight car park, some 100 yards from the hotel, is readily available, but it does mean that you have to empty your car of all the items you need before going to the hotel; otherwise you will end up making one or more trips back! The price for the hotel is unwarranted; yes, the location is a treasure, and the restaurant and lounge have an old-fashioned elegance, but such prices demand that the venue be renovated accordingly.

Cute cabins in a nice setting

Reviewed By Fridaysmom

Yes, this place was a bit pricey, even with the 20% discount that was offered for a three night stay. However, there are not many options in this part of Canada and given that we wanted to see the surrounding areas we were satisfied with our selection of accommodations. Our cabin has a Ralph Lauren type of feel about it and was relatively roomy, although I can emphathize with other travelers who complained about there not being a really good place to situate luggage. In addition to the king size bed, there was a small seating area with two chairs. We also had a gas fireplace, which we used extensively given that it was raining/sleeting outside for most of our stay. The cabin was a bit closer to other cabins than I would have liked, but we were not disturbed by other nearby travelers. I also was worried a bit about train noise as the cabins are fairly close to the railway. However, with the windows closed we were not bothered at all with any associated noise. The bathroom was well equipped with L'Occataine toiletries. It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room, but I don't know where they would have put it. We therefore had to rely on bringing ice from the main lodge, which was a bit of a pain, but it worked for keeping before dinner drinks cold. Breakfast in the main lodge was excellent, with lots of variety. Although it was billed as a buffet, there were hot eggs and meat, along with fruits, cheeses, cereal, and pastries. We had dinner at the lodge on two evenings; although a bit pricey, the food was very good there. All in all, a nice stay, although you will definitely feel some sticker shock given the prices of the rooms there.

This place is just great

Reviewed By I9399HApeterb

The upsides are a long list! Great family run lodge and Lucille and Jonathan couldn’t be nicer, more helpful people. The accommodation is smart & clean, in a lovely setting. Breakfast was home cooked and delicious. The only slight downside, as we were here out of season, no evening meals were available and the local taxi monopoly charges a fortune to/fro town. The answer was either a takeaway pick up (and reheat) or a microwaved meal from IGA. Lucille and Jonathan were more than happy to do the microwaving. We have no hesitation in recommending Moberly Lodge.

Trying something new

Reviewed By APTravel101

Travelling in the area we decided to try this lodge instead of regular hotels. It is a nice place looks just like the pictures you see. It is like a skies lodge with a very large common room. Individual rooms are small but works. No TV but there is wifi. Two wooden straight back chairs. Not comfortable but the idea is you would you the common room to enjoy better more comfortable sofas and arm chairs. Something that is not mentioned in some write ups about this place is you are travelling almost 4km on gravel road. There is no restaurant or grocery store around so make sure you eat and bring any food you want before you hunker down for the night. I liked the place. The reception was very pleasant. It is a clean facility but it is out of the way, close to nature and rustic.
