A little out of town, but very good
Reviewed By Greenbean100Stayed here on an organised cycle tour, just the two of us. As such, hadn’t picked the hotel. It was very nice, if a little out of town. Not that that mattered, because we arrived on bikes, and were ok to walk 20 minutes into town to another (cheaper) hotel/restaurant. The hotel was nice, and well appointed. My daughter enjoyed the pool a lot, and the sauna area was very good, and quiet. We were lucky with the weather, and the outdoor pool was open. It’s heated apparently, though we didn’t go in, and we enjoyed a relaxing sit by it on huge comfy outdoor sofas and hanging chairs (which daughter loved). Remember your room key, to get back into the changing room in your swimsuit! Breakfast was very good too. Overall, a very nice find.

Great location and very friendly staff
Reviewed By Tripster1775Due to certain very critical reviews, we arrived with mixed feelings. At check-in we were positively surprised for the first time: extremely friendly and professional. Unfortunately, we did not get a room with a lake view; but we were satisfied with the room we had - viewing an old pear tree on a very quiet courtyard. Obviously, a room in a building with 2-metre-thick old stone walls is not as bright as one in a modern steel/glass building, but our room was large enough, nicely renovated and functionally furnished. From the room into Lake Constance in less than two minutes: for us that was great, and we even went swimming in pouring rain on the day of our departure. The breakfast was certainly not like in a 5-star hotel we are used to when travelling to big cities, but the selection and quality was perfectly okay. Filter coffee is available from the service, cappuccino and espresso from a very well working machine at the buffet. Why anyone can have a problem with this is beyond my understanding. While some young staff members do not have the professional experience I expect and get at a Park Hyatt, this is nothing to complain about. The hotel is rated at 3* and does not pretend to be anything else. I have been in 4* properties with much lower overall quality. We were completely satisfied and will certainly come back.

Reviewed By jsems00We stayed 1 night and were very impressed. Restaurant had good offerings for dinner and the included breakfast left nothing out. Rooms were well appointed and clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend and we look forward to a longer future stay.

A good option in Wasserburg
Reviewed By 33MarkSThe Caraleon has very nice rooms in a great location in Wasserburg. Their lakeside area is also an asset. The breakfast is good and having dinner is also a good, but slightly expensive, option. One area for improvement is to provide a bar area for hotel guests to have a drink - currently the tables are prioritised for diners. Without a bar area, or just a general communal area for guests to relax, the Caraleon risks being a 'Restaurant with Rooms'. Overall - we will probably return.

Reviewed By goumakiThe hotel is located in the countryside near the Wasserburg and the lake. The room and the bathroom were very clean,tidy, comfy, and quiet with view on garden. The owners who personally manage the hotel and the restaurant offered a perfect service. We felt at home. The restaurant was surrounded by windows looking over the garden. Very warm. The food was excellent and good priced. Of course the breakfast was impeccable either. Parking was outside the building. The double with breakfast 96 euro.

Nice hotel close to Lake Constance
Reviewed By 61_IslandHopperWe stayed at the Hotel Seestern over a weekend in August. The hotel is in viewing distance from Lake Constance and easily accessible by car. Parking however is difficult, since there are too less parking lots around the hotel. One night we had to park around the corner on a public parking lot. The rooms of the hotel are generally spacious. The furniture in some rooms is pretty old and need an upgrade. However all is clean and you feel at home. The area is quiet at night and sleep quality is excellent. The fee includes breakfast and there is a nice buffet in the morning. We could even sit outside for breakfast on a sunny day. Shops and a bicycle rental shop are close. The public swimming pool with access to the lake is about 5 minutes away by bike / car. All in all the Seestern is an ideal place to stay for some lazy days at the lake.

Reviewed By 498j_rgensEine einfache aber schöne Pension. Unser Zimmer hatte 2 Balkone, einen Wohn-Schlafraum mit einem kleinen Bad. Das Frühstück war einfach, täglich frische Semmeln, Wurst und Käse, sowie Eier. Die hausgemachten Marmeladen der sehr netten Dame waren einfach himmlisch, unbedingt für zu Hause verschiedene mitnehmen. Die ältere Dame bemüht sich sehr um ihre Gäste und erfüllt gerne kleine Wünsche. Die Lage ist perfekt für Ausflüge, der Bahnhof ist nicht weit und die Gästekarte dient als Fahrkarte. Wasserburg am Bodensee ist ein ruhiger Ort mit Anlegestelle für die Schiffe, einem schönen Strandbad und guter Gastronomie.

Nice location with great view for a great price
Reviewed By HdG1986We had a room for 6 persons, for the 2 of us. The view is amazing. Location is quiet. Breakfast is diverse. The personnel is not always there before/after breakfast but that's okay. And the instructions for getting your room key are solid/easy. This might be weird to some, but we didn't had any problems with it. Enough places in the area to get dinner. But it can be expensive, we enjoyed our food in the Bodolzer Dorfstüble. Upfront a view over the Bodensee. At the start of the week we had a hotel on the island of Lindau, and this was an enjoyable different stay in Wasserburg

Idéal für Radler
Reviewed By ottmarpretzlafDie Pension liegt direkt am Fahrradweg um den Bodensee. Man kann sofort starten --abends ist in der Garage ausreichend Platz für die Räder. Man geniesst die Ruhe-das Haus liegt am Ende einer Sackgasse. Unser Zimmer war geräumig mit einem Freisitz und Blick auf den Garten. Gute Betten, grosses Bad -- alles nicht super modern, aber solide gepflegt. Morgens macht die Gastgeberin eine Frühstück nach Wunsch und die Radtour kann beginnen!
