Good hotel in Sumy with some minor drawbacks
Reviewed By matthias-aus-dtldThe hotel is located abput 2.5 km away from the city center. The room was spacious and clean. Minibar, shower, bathroom, good bed. The aircondition was much too weak, so it was very hot at night (about 28 deg C during the day and of course cooler at night). I could open one window at night because it had a flyscreen. The personnel was attentive and spoke good English. Good breakfast in the hotel restaurant (choice of four cooked meals, to be made immediately in advance at check-in), included in the room charge. I paid about 45 € for one night for a single room which is a very reasonable price. I did not have time to use any of the other hotel services. The hotel also runs a restaurant. The internet was free and fast. The room was in the second floor, no lift available. The ladies at the reception offered to carry my suitcase upstairs. However, as a male I did not accept this offer. This may be a problem for handicapped or elder people.

Reviewed By t-zbyszekApartment is located in very good location, in general no more than 15 mins walk from the city center. Arrival was easy and check in was very quick. The person checking me in was very helpful and nice. I really liked quality of bed mattress and bed itself. Whole apartment is well designed and new. There was nothing missing from the anemities. WiFi connection was excellent so it is perfect to download and process business content I needed. Suprisingly all people that I met in the apartment house (regular residents) were very friendly and were greeting me each time although we didn't know each other. If someone is interested to come with a car there are parking spots right next to the entrace to the building but there is also a guarded car parking on nearest intersection and costs only 20 UAH per day. There is a shopping centre and gas station on the other side of the road if needed. I recommend to stay with Apart-Hotel Lavina.

Pleasant place to stay in Sumy
Reviewed By Lyndon TI liked the location and the apartment a lot, especially the large suite. Juliya was very helpful to allow me to check in early after a long drive from Kharkiv. The TV is a good size and the wifi worked perfectly. I would happily stay again on my next trip to Sumy.

A great value
Reviewed By Gissocrates3I stayed here for 6 days. Great central location, great value, staff seemed to always have an English speaker on hand. They have laundry service, an atm around the corner, and the main walking street with night life maybe 10 minute walk away. Breakfast is included and Sumy is a great town to have fun in.

Hostel on the outskirts
Reviewed By Viktor KA good hostel in a two private low-rise buildings on the outskirts of Sumy is. Payment in cash only is. Before entering, you must dial the number on the mobile. Each room has a wc and a shower (there was no lighting in my shower rm.). Breakfast is paid separately.
