Pathetic Restaurant Service in Skardu
Reviewed By alikhanoo7I visited alongwith my family (5 adults & 3 kids) today (19 Jun 2021) for Dine In. We entered around 2110hrs and asked is the restaurant open? They replied, yes its open till 2230hrs. After 15-20 mins struggle i.e. continuously requesting waiter to come and take order, we placed order around 2130hrs. We asked how much time it will take for order to be ready! Waiter confirmed around 30 mins, we said ok and started waitin. Around 2155hrs waiter came and said "sorry it will take around 90 more mins to get order ready". I said how is this possible when restaurant will close at 2230hrs! He replied means sorry we cannot serve you due to an ongoing party and there are too many guests, though beside us only 2 more tables were occupied. Rest whole restaurant (around 7to8 tables) were empty. I went to reception and asked about Manager, reception guy said Manager left. I told him about the whole issue but he was good for nothing. He said sorry and left. We came here tired after 11hrs journey from Deosai planes and this is how this restaurant is handling customers and wasting their time. Pathetic Restaurant service. Dont waste your time and spoil your mood while you are in this beautiful valley.

The bed was so comfortable as we traveled a day and night we Wr so tired we fell asleep straight away really comfortable mattress and pillows. I’m useally very fussy with my pillows. Even before we arrived Azhar would answer all the questions I had. They even picked us up from the airport. We had freshly made dinner the chicken curry was delicious. We are staying 7 night and have booked all 6 day tour with Azhar as he gave a really good deal. Don’t miss out on come to this family run guest house

Reviewed By abbasaM5277GAPros "Aesthetic" (arguably obnoxious) interior design 20 minutes away from the airport Generally clean Cons Everything else, notably - Slow, nonchalant, often non-existent response to complaints (we had many). Seemingly understaffed. Little to no storage in room/bathroom. Absurd placement of electrical outlets. Frequent electricity, water and wifi outages. Subpar food. Strange smells in hallways and some rooms. Missing basic amenities such as laundry services. No privacy on your private balcony. Every conversation in every room can be heard in the corridors. No elevator!!! Good luck with your penthouse on the 5th floor. Strange penny-pinching policies. Dining on the rooftop costs extra. Airport pick/drop costs extra. The people of Skardu are some of the most welcoming, helpful and hospitable people you will ever meet, yet the owners have decided against hiring any locals. Staff at other hotels will go above and beyond, but the Byarsa "family" MIGHT do the bare minimum. Barely any view of the scenery. There is about 10 square feet of greenery on the entire property, half of which is used up by ugly fountains rather than seating for guests. Surrounded by grey walls, you'll forget you're in one of the most beautiful areas of Pakistan. Verdict: Worth noting that this is a new hotel and the staff is learning the ropes. Management, however, has to set their priorities straight. Your comfort is the last thing on their mind. This is a luxury hotel ONLY by design. If you're been swayed by their artsy Instagram page, just come here for lunch and take all the pictures you want. They might give you a tour of the rooms as well so you'll get what you want for your Instagram. PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. Go to any other hotel if you want to experience what Skardu has to offer.

Reviewed By KasangaNice and smiling, but no efficiency. It's the first time staying anywhere that I had to wake up the staff to prepare breakfast. Ordered at 7.30 and served at 8.50. How long does it take to make tea, omelette, and paratha? The location is prime, on a busy full of noise and dust. On a nice note, this place is family friendly with lots of spaces for kids to safely run around, laugh, and scream. Loved it even though I'm traveling alone.

Owner of guesthouse Saleem really helped us with transfer and with other problems. This guest house is so clean, peaceful and I liked good food. I was very happy spent my time here. Best place in Skardu)! Highly recommended! Thank you, dear Saleem, for everything!

Reviewed By Syed NWe Stayed 2 nights in Shalimar Hotel and it was a very pleasant experience. It is the Place to Enjoy the Heart Touching View of Lower Kachura Lake. The rooms were very Comfortable. Food quality was also good.
