Reviewed By Fretboard36This modern looking hotel is perfectly located to start your trips from. The beautiful Köningssee and the Nationalpark Berchtesgaden are just a short walk away. Even the town of Berchtesgaden itself is within walking distance. The hotel is very sport orientated, there are lockers where you can put your mountainbikes or ski's. The overal design of the hotel is very modern and the rooms have the same design. It's always a mather of taste, but i liked it. Breakfast was as well organised as it could be, but still a little bit awkward due to the Covid restrictions. The food itself was very good. The Hotel doesn't offer a full blown restaurant but does have a bar where you can order a wide scope of drinks and snacks. There are many good restaurants in the area so you won't have to look very far to have a good dinner. One downside i'd like to mention is that the hotel rooms are somewhat noisy, if you have a snoring neighbour in the room next to you, you will definitely hear it. Overal it was a very positive experience. I can recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants to be in the middle of all the beautiful sites, the Berchtesgaden area has to offer!

The outdoor pool, the immense garden to relax, the view to the mountains, the spacious and quiet rooms, the friendly staff, everything is just combined to offer a great stay. And there's more: the indoor pool is just my son's favourite place, plus the outdoor playground. He made a lot of friends and they play altogether in the garden. Then there is the restaurant, serving great, delicious food, and is really a pleasure to eat outside by the garden. The hotel could be easily considered a 4 star, it offers everything one might want for a comfortable stay: cleanliness, location, facilities. Definitely will be back whenever in Königssee region again.

Reviewed By theyucelHotel Konigssee meets the expectations clearly if you are not looking for a luxury standards. Location - being near of the lake- is a huge advantage. The room which I stayed with my wife was clear, and the bath was good as well, there were any negative comments on that areas. The only negative comments from my end will be the lack of goods at breakfast buffet, the choices were not satisfied my needs in terms of taste especially at vegetables and fruit kind of stuff (But I'm only mentioning the breakfast selections not the other stuff ).

However, some nights it was difficult to catch enough sleep, because guests in neighbouring rooms were talking loudly until night (walls seem to be thin) or kept on sitting and talking loudly on their terraces and balconies above. Noisy corridors. The restaurant had to operate under COVID-19-restrictions, which was well organised (staff wore face masks, few guests admitted, no self-service buffet). However, most of the restaurant staff did not give the impression of being trained professionals.

Reviewed By Navigator60280543021I love the location of the hotel. Friendly and welcoming staffs. Clean, comfortable beds and excelent breakfast with various options. The view of the room was breathtaking. Highly recommend. Everithing was perfect and i will definitely come back.

Reviewed By alybetts12Everything was fantastic at the Landhaus Sonnenstern. The host spends quite a bit of time when you check in with maps and tips on exploring the area. Everything he recommended was great! The room is clean and large. The breakfast was great with good service and a good variety (including black coffee!). The view from the balcony was wonderful. Close proximity to several sights plus a short drive to others. Walking distance to several restaurants plus private parking. You can’t go wrong! We can’t wait to return!

A wonderful small hotel
Reviewed By IanB931This is a perfect Bavarian hotel! Run by a family, with superb views of the mountains from all the rooms, this place is good value for money. The breakfasts are excellent and the half-board evening meal is varied and interesting and very good value. The location above Berchtesgaden is okay if you have a car but it is too far to walk with luggage and the climb is hard work on a bicycle! It seemed to us that most of the mid-range hotels in Berchtesgaden are on the main road and there are complaints about them all - so if you have a car, come up to the Georgenhof!
