Beautiful stay at the Italian Riviera with dog
Reviewed By arnoud2005We stayed for 4 nights at this beautifully located hotel, 10 minutes drive from Alassio and its beaches. The location is tranquil and the hotel fits perfectly into the local landscape. It wasn’t very busy at the hotel during our stay which suited us fine. We chosen the hotel due to its dog friendliness which was prominent on their website but became clear in all aspects during our stay, much appreciated! The staff was excellent and anticipated all our needs. The hotel is in the process of renovating rooms and will make king-size beds available in the new rooms, which was our only criticism as the queen bed in the junior suite was rather small. The access to the garden from our room was a great advantage. The food served was of high quality using local and seasonal products, whether at breakfast or at dinner. We can for sure recommend this hotel!

Lia is an excellent, caring host, who went the extra mile to make us welcome despite the fact that we were at the fag-end of the season . Rooms spotlessly clean and spacious, and huge bed super-comfy . Ample parking (rare in Italy !) and a tasty breakfast, though those who want a full American/English might be a bit disappointed with the choice and quantity . Pity that the much-acclaimed restaurant was not open, but I understand Lia cannot be expected to open up midweek for just two people. But a 3 minute drive takes you to two superb places in the village, and 15 mins in the car will get you to the plethora of excellent eateries in Albenga. Superb VfM all round.

Un'oasi di pace immerso nel verde

Lo sappiamo tutti la vita è anche questo e gli ultimi anni non hanno aiutato. Anzi. E ci ritroviamo a volere un po' di pace, un po' di bello, una coccola in più, un attimo che scaldi il cuore e che ci faccia sorridere... o sbaglio? E se vi dicessi che c'è un posto meraviglioso dove tutti questi desideri possono diventare realtà e anzi superarla? Ebbene sì noi lo abbiamo trovato e non vediamo l'ora di riuscire a ritagliarci di nuovo un po' di tempo per tornare al b&b La casa di Giobatta a Tovo San Giacomo, vicinissimo a Pietra Ligure ma immerso nel verde. Innanzitutto è bellissimo. Si vede che la proprietaria ama il suo lavoro e ama questa piccola ma deliziosa struttura. Si vede dai dettagli, da come vieni accolto. Poche camere ma dei gioiellini con dettagli unici. La nostra camera per esempio aveva la doccia con le pietre a vista... una piccola chicca che ci ha fatto amare ancora di più la nostra stanza. E poi tutto era lì per noi per farci sentire coccolati. I cuscini sul letto, l'acqua, l'eucalipto in camera... tutto. E non parliamo della colazione: la frutta fresca tagliata e impiattata, la focaccia e le brioche buonissime prese nel miglior panificio... sì decisamente ci siamo sentiti coccolati, amati... e siamo usciti da lì felici di questa nuova scoperta e di aver conosciuto una bellissima persona (la proprietaria), rilassati... e anche curiosi. Vi svelo un segreto. Ci sono bellissimi progetti di ampliamento e vista la cura in tutto ciò che ho visto non potrà che essere stupendo.... Per cui cosa state aspettando?
